black tea
You know what? I heard some folks talking about this 8g tea bag thing. 8g, that’s a funny number, ain’t it? Makes me think of my old scale back home. We used to weigh everything on that thing, chickens, flour, you name it!
Now, this tea, they say it comes in little bags. Like tiny little sacks. We used to store seeds in little sacks like that. 8g, though. That seems like a lot for a little bag, doesn’t it? Must be some strong tea! I like my tea strong enough to stand a spoon in. Maybe this 8g tea bag is like that. I bet it make you feel good, like a good night sleep or something.
Imagine that. Blueberry in your tea! And some kind of fancy name, “Rose.” We just had plain old roses in the garden. Never thought to put ’em in my tea. These city folks, they got all sorts of ideas.
And another thing, they said this 8g tea bag, it’s good for you. Like medicine, almost. They say that it can make your liver feel better. My old liver ain’t what it used to be, I tell ya. Too many years of hard work, I reckon. Maybe I should try some of this fancy 8g tea bag.
They got this other kind, too. Called “Chrysanthemum” something. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? I just call ’em those yellow flowers we used to see growing by the roadside. They say that’s good for you, too. This 8g tea bag, it seems like you can put anything in there.
Now, how do you use these things? These 8g tea bags? Well, one person told me you just drop one of those little sacks in some hot water. Or cold water, if you like. I always prefer hot. Cold drinks just ain’t satisfying, you know?
And they say you use a lot of water. Like a whole jug! One little 8g tea bag for a whole jug of water. That’s amazing, ain’t it? Must be some powerful stuff in those little bags. In my day, we just use a pinch of tea for one cup.
Some of these 8g tea bags, they are like 2g, some are bigger, like 3.5g. I don’t know what the different is, but they all tea, right? They all can make you a cup of tea.
You can use one 8g tea bag for one cup, or you can use two if you like it strong. Like I do! I like it so strong, it could wake the dead! Ha! Just kidding. But I do like it strong.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy 8g tea bags. We just had loose tea leaves. We’d boil water in a pot, throw in a handful of leaves, and let it steep. Simple as that. No little bags, no fancy names, just good old-fashioned tea. We don’t care about how many grams it is, just put it in the cup and drink.
But I guess times are changing. Maybe these 8g tea bags are a good thing. They sound convenient, anyway. And if they’re good for you, well, that’s even better. Maybe I’ll give ’em a try sometime. See what all the fuss is about.
But one thing’s for sure, whether it’s an 8g tea bag or just plain old tea leaves, a good cup of tea is a good cup of tea. It warms you up, it comforts you, and it makes you feel good. And that’s something that never changes, no matter what kind of fancy bag it comes in. You just need some hot water, and that’s it.
You know, all this talk of tea is making me thirsty. Think I’ll go put the kettle on. Maybe I’ll even try one of those 8g tea bag things, if I can find some. See if they’re as good as everyone says. I need to try it myself.
