Okay, so, 913 King’s Oolong Tea. Let me tell you about my little adventure with this stuff. I saw it at this fancy tea shop – you know, the one with the tiny cups and the even tinier price tags? Anyway, I figured, what the heck, right? It looked interesting. The label had all these fancy words, and honestly, I only understood half of them. Something about a high-altitude plantation and a special roasting process. Sounded impressive.

First thing I did was open the bag. The aroma hit me immediately – this rich, almost nutty smell, with a hint of something floral. I’m not a tea expert, I just like a good cuppa, okay? But even I could tell this was different. This wasn’t your grandma’s Lipton.

Next, I got out my favorite teapot – the one my aunt gave me, the ceramic one with the little flowers painted on it. I measured out the leaves. The instructions said one teaspoon per cup, but I eyeballed it. I’m a rebel, I know. I used probably a little more than I should have.

Then came the water. I heated it up, but not too much. I’ve learned my lesson about boiling water and delicate tea leaves. You don’t want to scald the poor things. I let it cool down just a bit before pouring it over the leaves. I watched the leaves unfurl, it was kind of mesmerizing. Like tiny little green dancers doing a slow waltz.

I let it steep for, I think, around five minutes? Maybe a little longer? I lost track, I was busy admiring the color. It was this beautiful amber, almost golden. Gorgeous.

Finally, the moment of truth. I poured myself a cup. The first sip…wow. It was smooth. Really smooth. Not bitter at all, which is a big plus for me. It had this unique sweetness, not sugary sweet, but a natural sweetness. That nutty flavor I smelled earlier was there too, alongside hints of honey and something fruity – maybe apricot? I honestly couldn’t put my finger on it.

I sat there sipping it, enjoying the warmth spreading through me. It wasn’t just a drink; it was a whole experience. A quiet moment of peace in a hectic day.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I just wanted a nice cup of tea. But 913 King’s Oolong exceeded my expectations. It’s definitely one of those teas I’ll be buying again. Maybe I’ll even try to be a bit more precise with the measurements next time, but no promises.
