Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make my own body mist for a while now. I love those fancy store-bought ones, but they can be so pricey! Plus, I figured it would be fun to experiment with different scents. I decided to start with a white tea body mist because it seemed simple and refreshing, perfect for summer.

First, I gathered my ingredients. This was pretty straightforward. I needed:

  • Distilled water (I just bought a big jug at the grocery store)
  • Witch hazel (got this from the pharmacy section)
  • White tea essential oil (I found this online, make sure it’s 100% pure!)
  • A spray bottle (I repurposed an old one I had lying around, just cleaned it out really well)

Then came the mixing part. I started by pouring about 4 ounces of distilled water into the spray bottle. I didn’t measure it super precisely, just eyeballed it.

Next, I added about 2 ounces of witch hazel. Witch hazel is supposed to help the scent last longer and it’s good for your skin, or so I’ve read.

Now for the fun part – the essential oil! I dropped in about 20-25 drops of the white tea essential oil. I started with less, sniffed, and then added more until it smelled just right. It’s all about personal preference here.

Finally, I screwed the top on the bottle and shook it really, really well to make sure everything was mixed together.

And that’s it! I spritzed some on my wrist to test it out, and it smelled amazing! So light and fresh. I’ve been using it every day since, and I love that I made it myself. It was way easier than I thought, and honestly, it smells better than some of the expensive ones I’ve bought in the past. I am very happy that I made it!

Now I just need to keep my dog away when I spray.
