- Need a Middle Eastern Tea Set? The Ultimate Buyers Guide!
tea set
Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with Middle Eastern aesthetics lately, and I decided I needed a proper tea set. You know, the whole experience. So, I went on this little adventure to put one together, and I figured I’d share how it went.
First, I hit up some local antique shops. I thought I might get lucky and find a vintage gem. I spent a whole Saturday afternoon digging through dusty shelves and boxes. No luck. Everything was either way too expensive or just not quite what I was looking for.
Then I did some research, and found out what to look for in a real authentic tea set. After that I turned to the internet. I checked out some online stores, even ones that ship internationally. There were some beautiful sets, but I was a little worried about things breaking in transit. Plus, it’s hard to tell the quality from just a picture.
I changed my mind and decided to try building my set piece by piece. It felt more… personal, I guess. I found this amazing little shop that sells imported teacups. They were so delicate and pretty, with gold details. I grabbed six of those.
Next, I needed a teapot. I stumbled upon a craft fair, and there was this one vendor with handmade ceramics. I spotted this gorgeous, deep blue teapot with intricate carvings. It wasn’t technically Middle Eastern, but it had the right vibe, and I loved it. So, I bought it!
Finally, I also looked for a tray. I wanted something ornate, maybe with some inlaid work. I eventually found a beautiful brass tray at a flea market. It was a little tarnished, but I cleaned it up, and it looks fantastic.
I also picked up some small, colorful glasses for serving the tea. I figured those would add a nice pop of color.
Then I invited some friends over to show my new tea set, and it was perfect to have some tea time with friends, and everyone loves my tea set.
So, yeah, that’s how I put together my Middle Eastern-inspired tea set. It wasn’t exactly traditional, but it’s unique and I love it. It’s proof that you don’t have to follow all the rules to create something beautiful and functional. It’s all about the experience, right?
