black tea
Alright, alright, let’s talk about them herbs for tea, the ones they say is good for ya, ya know, for that… what do they call it? Immune thingy? Yeah, that’s it.
So, first off, there’s this Echinacea stuff. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a flower, I reckon. They say it helps ya when you’re feelin’ poorly, makes ya get better faster. And keeps ya from gettin’ sick in the first place, which is always a good thing, ain’t it? Somethin’ ‘bout it makin’ more of them white blood thingies, the ones that fight off the bad stuff. Don’t ask me how, I just heard it from that nice lady down at the market.
Then there’s ginger. Now, that one I know. Always used it when my stomach was actin’ up. Makes ya sweat, too, which is good when you got a fever, gets all the bad stuff out, I guess. And it’s got all them fancy-sounding things in it, anti-inflammy and anti-ox… somethin’ or other. Just means it’s good for ya, I figure.
Now, let’s see, what else? Oh yeah, there’s this Hibiscus tea. Pretty red color it’s got, like them flowers I used to grow in the garden. Tastes a little sour, but some folks like it. They say it’s good for that immune thingy too. Don’t know much about it myself, but if they say it’s good, it can’t hurt, right? I always say, try everything once, ‘cept maybe skunk stew… that just sounds wrong.
There’s more, I’m sure. Seems like every plant out there is good for somethin’. You just gotta find the right ones. And the best way to do that? Well, ask around, read a little, and then try ‘em out yourself! Ain’t no harm in a little tea, is there? Keeps ya warm and maybe keeps ya healthy too.
And remember, just ’cause it’s natural don’t mean you can go drinkin’ gallons of it. Everything in moderation, that’s what my ma always said. And she was a smart woman, even though she never went to school much.
So, there ya have it. Some herbs for tea, supposed to be good for ya. Don’t take my word for it though, go on and do your own research. But a little cup of warm somethin’ never hurt nobody, I say. ‘Specially when it’s cold outside. Makes ya feel all cozy and safe. And that’s gotta be good for that immune thing, right? Makes sense to me anyways.
Anyways, gotta go now. Got chores to do. You take care now, ya hear? And drink your tea!
