Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this latte tea, whatever they call it. I ain’t no fancy city person, ya know, but I do know a thing or two ’bout good drinkin’.

First off, what in the tarnation is a latte, anyway? Sounds like somethin’ them rich folks drink. But they put it with tea, huh? Now, tea I understand. Been drinkin’ it my whole life. Good ol’ black tea, that’s what gets ya goin’ in the mornin’. None of that flowery stuff for me.

So, this latte tea… I guess it’s like mixin’ two different things together, kinda like when you put milk in your coffee. Only fancier, I reckon. They probably charge a whole lot for it too, them city cafes, they always do. Probably put it in a big ol’ cup with some swirly stuff on top, just to make it look pretty. Don’t make it taste no better, though, I tell ya that much.

I heard tell you can get this latte tea stuff on somethin’ called Amazon. Now, that’s somethin’ else I don’t quite understand. Buyin’ things from a machine, it just don’t seem right. Back in my day, you went to the store, ya saw what you were gettin’, and ya paid the man right there. No waitin’ around for some fella in a truck to bring it to ya.

But I guess that’s how the young folks do things these days. Always in a hurry, always lookin’ for the easy way. Probably don’t even know how to make a proper cup of tea, let alone this latte thing.

What’s in it anyway? I bet they put a whole bunch of stuff in it that ain’t good for ya. Sugar, probably, and all them artificial flavors. Why can’t people just stick to the basics? Good tea, good milk, good sugar if ya want it sweet. That’s all ya need.

• First, ya gotta boil the water, gotta get it nice and hot.
• Then ya put the tea bag in, or the loose tea if you’re fancy, and let it steep for a bit.
• Don’t leave it in too long, though, or it’ll get bitter.
• Then ya add the milk and sugar, if ya want it, and stir it up good.

That’s how ya make a good cup of tea. None of this latte fuss. But hey, to each their own, I always say. If them city folks wanna drink their fancy latte tea, that’s their business. Me, I’ll stick to my good ol’ black tea, thank ya very much.

I saw somethin’ ’bout “best prices” and “top brands” for this latte tea on that Amazon thing. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. A good cup of tea don’t need no fancy brand name, and it don’t need to cost a fortune. Just needs to be made with good, honest ingredients and a little bit of love. That’s what makes a good drink, no matter what ya call it.

And this “Kauf auf Rechnung” thing they talked about, payin’ after you get the stuff? Well, that just sounds like askin’ for trouble. Back in my day, you paid for what you got, when you got it. None of this “buy now, pay later” nonsense. Just asking for folks to get in over their heads, if you ask me. But like I said, times are changin’, and I’m just an old woman tryin’ to keep up.

So, there ya have it. My thoughts on this latte tea. Not much, I know, but it’s honest. And if you ask me, that’s more important than all the fancy words and fancy prices in the world. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go make myself a good cup of tea. The real kind, that is.
