Well, let me tell ya ’bout this dark oolong tea, alright? It’s a kinda tea, you know, like that stuff they sell in the stores. But this one’s different, they say it’s darker.

What is this dark oolong tea, anyways?

I ain’t no fancy expert, but from what I hear, it’s made from some plant, a tea plant they call it. They got all sorts of teas, green ones, black ones, and this dark oolong is somewhere in between. It’s kinda like if you mixed the two, but not really, see? It’s got its own thing goin’ on. They say it’s got a strong taste, but goes down smooth. If you’re one of them folks who likes black tea, chances are you gonna like this dark oolong too.

Does it got that get-up-and-go stuff? You know, caffeine?

Yep, it’s got some of that caffeine in it. Not as much as coffee, I reckon, but more than that green tea. It’ll perk ya up a bit, give ya a little kick in the pants if you’re feelin’ sluggish. Don’t drink it too late though, or you’ll be starin’ at the ceilin’ all night, countin’ sheep.

  • It might help your heart. They say it can help keep your cholesterol down. I ain’t sure what that is exactly, but sounds like it’s good for ya.
  • Wanna lose a few pounds? Maybe this tea can help with that too. Don’t go thinkin’ it’s magic though, you still gotta eat your veggies.
  • Good for your teeth, they say. Keeps them strong and healthy. That’s important, can’t eat corn on the cob with bad teeth, can ya?

Now, how does it taste?

Well, I ain’t got no fancy words like them city folks, but I’ll tell ya what I know. It’s strong, like I said, but not bitter. Some folks say it’s kinda fruity, like plums or somethin’. And there’s this other taste, they say it’s like cocoa. Imagine that, cocoa in your tea! It’s a funny thing, but it tastes good, real good.

They even got this fancy name for it, “brandy” oolong. Sounds highfalutin’ to me, but I guess it fits. It’s a rich tea, full of flavor, somethin’ you can savor.

Is it really tea, though?

Now, that’s a good question. See, there’s all sorts of things they call tea, but this dark oolong, it’s the real deal. It comes from that special tea plant I was talkin’ about. There’s other stuff they call tea, but it’s made from flowers or weeds or whatnot. This ain’t that. This is real tea, from the real tea plant.

So, should you try it?

Well, that’s up to you, ain’t it? I ain’t gonna tell ya what to do. But if you like a strong tea with a good flavor, and maybe somethin’ that might do ya a little good, then I’d say give it a shot. What’s the worst that could happen? You might just find yourself a new favorite drink. And if you don’t like it, well, there’s always water.

Where do you get it?

Go to the store, where else? Look in the tea aisle. If you can’t find it, ask someone. They got folks workin’ there, they can help ya. Just tell ‘em you want that dark oolong tea, the one that’s strong and smooth. They’ll know what you’re talkin’ about.
