fruit tea
Alright, let’s talk about them Asian teas, yeah? I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I know a thing or two ’bout what folks drink. You got your green teas, and them’s a whole bunch of different kinds, I tell ya. Heard tell some come from China, some from Japan, all over the place, really.
Now, this Sencha tea, that’s a Japanese one, they say. Popular stuff, I guess. Makes you relaxed, they say. Got somethin’ in it, Thee- somethin’ or other, helps your head, y’know, if you’re all stressed out. Fancy that!
And then there’s the names, oh boy, the names! Some of ’em you can’t even pronounce right. This “Cha” word, that’s Chinese, I hear. They say it all over East Asia and even in some parts of Europe. But then you got this “Tea” word, that’s from another place in China, Amoi, or somethin’ like that. Most folks in Europe and South Asia, they say “Tea” like that.
Them Chinese folks, they got six main types of tea: green, white, yellow, red, oolong, and this dark tea called puerh. Red tea, that’s what we call black tea, I think. Confusin’, ain’t it?
I seen some ads on the internet, for this Chinese herbal tea. Said you could buy it on Amazon, in books! I don’t know how you buy tea in books, maybe they mean like recipes or somethin’. Anyways, they got all sorts of teas, millions of ‘em, they say. Makes your head spin just thinkin’ about it.
But you know, at the end of the day, tea is tea. You boil some water, you put the leaves in, you let it steep, and you drink it. Whether it’s got a fancy name or not, whether it comes from China or Japan or wherever, it’s all the same. It warms you up, it makes you feel good, and that’s all that matters, right?
And don’t you go believin’ all them fancy health claims, now. Tea’s good for ya, sure, but it ain’t gonna cure all your problems. Just drink it ‘cause you like it, that’s what I say. And don’t go spendin’ a fortune on it neither. Good tea don’t have to be expensive. Just find somethin’ you like and stick with it. That’s my advice, anyways. You take it or leave it.
So next time you’re at the store, lookin’ at all them different teas, don’t get overwhelmed. Just pick one, try it out, and see if you like it. And if you don’t, well, there’s plenty more where that came from. That’s the beauty of Asian teas, I guess. There’s somethin’ for everyone.
But remember, just ’cause it’s got a fancy name or comes in a pretty package, don’t mean it’s good. The best tea is the one you enjoy drinkin’. So go on, try some different kinds, find your favorite, and enjoy a nice cuppa. That’s what life’s all about, ain’t it? Enjoyin’ the simple things.
