Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this here… uh… what’s it called? Ms. Green Tea, yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But lemme tell ya, it ain’t nothin’ but leaves and water, just like them other teas, but maybe a little bit different, ya know?

I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just drink what tastes good and what folks say is good for ya. This here green tea, they say it’s somethin’ special. Not like that black tea my old man used to drink, strong enough to knock ya socks off. This here green tea is, well, it’s kinda…gentle, I guess you could say.

Now, I heard tell that them other teas, the black ones and that oolong stuff, they gotta go through some kinda… rigmarole before they become tea. Somethin’ about fermentin’ and oxidizin’. Sounds like somethin’ you do with pickles, not tea, if ya ask me. But this green tea, they say it’s different. They don’t mess with it so much, just dry them leaves and that’s it, I reckon.

  • They pick the leaves, real careful like.
  • Then they steam ‘em or fry ‘em up a bit, not too much though.
  • Then they dry ‘em out. That’s it! Ready to go, just like that.

Makes sense, I guess. Keepin’ it simple. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with simple, ya know? This world’s got too complicated if ya ask me. Always gotta be doin’ somethin’ fancy, addin’ this and that. But sometimes, the best things in life are the simple ones. Like a good cup of tea on a cold mornin’, or sittin’ on the porch swing watchin’ the sun go down. Simple pleasures, that’s what life is all about, or at least that’s how it should be.

Anyways, back to this green tea. They say it’s got all sorts of good stuff in it. Ant…anti… somethin’ or others. Antioxidants, that’s it! Sounds like somethin’ ya put in your car, not in your tea, but I guess it’s good for ya. Keeps ya healthy, they say. Keeps ya from gettin’ old and creaky. Well, I’m already old and creaky, so maybe it’s too late for me, but maybe it’ll help you young’uns.

And the taste? Well, it ain’t like that strong black tea, like I said. It’s kinda… grassy, I guess. Like you’re drinkin’ a field of fresh-cut hay. But in a good way, ya know? It’s kinda…refreshin’. Specially on a hot day. And if you don’t like the plain taste, you can always add a little somethin’ to it. A little bit of honey, maybe. Or a squeeze of lemon. That’s what my granddaughter does. She’s always addin’ things to her tea. Says it makes it taste better. Maybe she’s right, maybe she ain’t. To each their own, I always say.

So, there ya have it. My two cents on this here Ms. Green Tea. It ain’t nothin’ fancy, but it’s good for ya, they say. And it tastes pretty good too, once ya get used to it. It’s like a quiet friend, always there for you when you need a little somethin’ to warm ya up or cool ya down. Give it a try, why don’t ya? You might just like it. And if ya don’t, well, that’s alright too. More for me, I guess. Hehehe…

Now, I heard some folks get all fancy with their green tea, talkin’ about different kinds and where it comes from and all that. But I say, it’s just tea, ain’t it? Don’t need to make a fuss about it. Just drink it and enjoy it. That’s what I do. And that’s all there is to it, far as I’m concerned.

But then again, I ain’t never been one for fancy things. Give me a good cup of tea and a warm chair, and I’m happy. That’s all a body needs, really. Simple pleasures, like I said. That’s the secret to a good life, ya know? Don’t go chasin’ after all them fancy things. Just stick to the basics, and you’ll be alright. And maybe, just maybe, a cup of green tea every now and then will help ya along the way. You take care now, ya hear?
