Alright, let’s talk about these white tea party hats, you know, the kind them fancy ladies wear. I seen a few pictures, and they look right pretty, I gotta say.

Now, I ain’t no expert, but I reckon there’s different kinds for different shindigs. If it’s one of them highfalutin tea parties, you know, the kind with all the pinkies up, you probably want somethin’ big and fancy. Think wide brims, like them old movie stars used to wear. Or maybe somethin’ with a little nettin’ over the face, like a mystery, you know? They call them fascinators, I think. Makes a gal look all mysterious and whatnot.

  • Big hats with wide brims – for the real fancy affairs.
  • Fascinators – the little ones with feathers and maybe a bit of net. Good for weddings too, I hear.
  • Straw hats – for somethin’ more casual, like a garden party. Keeps the sun off your face too, which is always a good thing.
  • Hats with flowers – always pretty. Makes you look like a spring chicken, even if you ain’t one no more.

But if it’s just a regular ol’ tea party, like the kind we have at the church social, you don’t need nothin’ too crazy. A nice straw hat with a ribbon would do just fine. Or maybe one with some fake flowers on it. They got them at the dollar store, you know. Cheap and cheerful, that’s what I say.

I seen some pictures online, and some of them hats are real works of art. They got all sorts of doodads on ’em – feathers, ribbons, even little fake birds. Makes you wonder how they keep ’em on their heads, all that stuff weighin’ ’em down. But I guess that’s what hairpins are for, huh?

Where to wear ’em, you ask? Well, like I said, tea parties are the obvious choice. But you could wear ’em to weddings, too. Or even to church, if you’re feelin’ fancy. I wore a hat to my grandson’s weddin’ last year. It was blue, though, not white. But it had a nice big bow on it. Made me feel like a queen, I tell ya.

Now, some folks say you gotta match your hat to your outfit. But I say, wear what you like. If you wanna wear a big ol’ white hat with a pair of overalls, you go right ahead. Ain’t nobody gonna tell you what to do, especially not me. But if you want my two cents, I think a white hat looks real nice with a flowery dress. Makes you look all summery and fresh.

And don’t forget about the young’uns. Little girls look so cute in hats! They got these little tiny ones, just their size. Makes ’em look like little princesses. I bought one for my granddaughter last Easter. It was pink, though, not white. She looked so sweet in it, I could just eat her up.

I heard tell some folks even have tea parties just so they can wear their hats. Can you believe that? Spendin’ all that money on fancy hats and then just sittin’ around drinkin’ tea. Well, I guess to each their own, right? If it makes ’em happy, that’s all that matters.

If you’re lookin’ to buy a white tea party hat, there’s plenty of places to find ’em. You can go to a fancy hat shop, if you got money to burn. Or you can go to a department store, they usually got a good selection. Or you can even go online, like I do sometimes. Just type in “white tea party hats” and a whole bunch of ’em will pop up. But be careful, some of them online places are tricky. Make sure you know what you’re gettin’ before you give ’em your credit card number. I got burned once, bought a hat that looked nothin’ like the picture. Learned my lesson, I did.

So, there you have it. Everything I know about white tea party hats. Not much, I admit. But enough to get you started, I reckon. Now go on and find yourself a pretty hat and have a tea party. And don’t forget to invite me!

Oh, and one more thing. Don’t worry too much about what other people think. If you like a hat, wear it. That’s what I say. Life’s too short to worry about what other folks think.

And remember, a pretty hat can make any gal feel like a million bucks, even if she ain’t got two nickels to rub together. It’s all about feelin’ good about yourself, that’s what I always say.
