tea ceremony
Well, look at this, a tea set silver! My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but even I can see that shiny stuff. Don’t know much about fancy things, but I reckon this here tea set is somethin’ special.
Now, where do folks get these things? I hear tell of a place called Macy’s. They got all sorts of things there, even tea sets made of that… whatchamacallit… sterling silver. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They even got them little spoons, the kind you stir your tea with. Six of ‘em in a set, they say. Vibhsa somethin’ somethin’ spoons, they call ’em. Too much for this old woman to remember.
And then there’s this Wayfair place. Free shippin’, they say. Don’t know how they do it, but it sounds like a good deal if you’re lookin’ for a silver tea set. They probably got all kinds, big ones, small ones, shiny ones, dull ones… you name it.
But what’s so special about silver anyway? Folks say it makes your tea taste better. Can’t say I ever tasted tea from a silver pot, but I guess if they say so, it must be true. Some folks even say it’s good for your health, keeps the bad stuff away. And you can put these tea sets in a wine cabinet, just for show. Fancy that!
I saw some pictures online, young’uns showed me. Some of them tea sets got little leaves and flowers on ‘em, made outta glass, I think. And they got a crown on top, like for a queen or somethin’. Real pretty, they were. And they got these trays to put the whole set on, keep things tidy.
And the price? Well, that depends. Some are cheap, some are so expensive, it’ll make your head spin. I saw one for a dollar, just one dollar! But that was old, prob’ly used. Then there are those fancy ones, the kind Tiffany Co. makes. They got all sorts of flowers carved on ‘em, real works of art, they say. But I bet you a good hen they cost a pretty penny.
Some tea sets are made of jade and porcelain, with silver inside. They say it makes the tea taste perfect. And they look real nice too, elegant they call it. I don’t know about elegant, but I reckon they’d look good on any table, even my old kitchen table.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a tea set silver, you got choices. You can go to Macy’s, or Wayfair, or even look for handmade ones. Just depends on how much money you got and what you’re lookin’ for. Me? I’ll stick to my old chipped mug, thank you very much. But it’s nice to dream, ain’t it?
And remember, if you’re gonna buy a silver tea set, make sure it’s real silver. Folks try to cheat you these days, sell you somethin’ that ain’t what they say it is. So be careful, and don’t let nobody pull the wool over your eyes.
Anyways, that’s all I know about tea sets. More than I ever thought I’d know, that’s for sure. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got to go feed the chickens.
To sum things up:
This here tea talk is makin’ me thirsty. Maybe I’ll just have a cup of tea, even if it ain’t from a fancy silver set.
