Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this here “dessert tea.” I ain’t never heard of such a thing ’til my young’un told me about it. Said it’s tea, but tastes like dessert. Imagine that!

Now, I like a good cuppa tea, don’t get me wrong. But dessert? That’s usually somethin’ sweet, like a piece of pie or maybe some cookies. So, this “dessert tea,” it got me thinkin’. What in the world is it?

What is Dessert Tea Anyways?

From what I gather, it’s tea that’s made to taste like sweet stuff. You know, like chocolate, or caramel, or even birthday cake! Can you believe it? Birthday cake in a tea cup! Sounds kinda fancy to me.

My young’un showed me some pictures on that phone of hers. Said there’s all sorts of flavors. Vanilla, coconut, peppermint… even “chai” somethin’ or other. I tell you, it’s a whole new world out there. Back in my day, tea was just tea, plain and simple.

Where Do You Get This Fancy Tea?

Seems like you can get this dessert tea in all sorts of places. My young’un says there’s these “tea shops” online. They got all kinds of tea, not just this dessert stuff. Loose leaf tea, tea in bags, even fancy teapots and things. She showed me one called “The Republic of Tea.” Said they got all sorts of dessert flavors. Sounded right expensive to me.

And then there’s other places too. Bigelow, she called one. They got vanilla tea, coconut tea, all sorts of sugary-sounding flavors. Says it’s “guilt-free bliss.” Well, I don’t know about that. Too much of anything ain’t good for ya, that’s what I always say.

  • Places to find Dessert Tea:
  • Online Tea Shops like “Art of Tea” and “The Republic of Tea”
  • Grocery Stores, look for brands like Bigelow or Red Rose
  • Specialty food stores

And another one, Stash, she says. They got chocolate and vanilla teas. My young’un showed me the pictures, real pretty boxes and all. Said they specialize in this kinda thing. Lands sakes, so many choices! Makes my head spin.

Is It Any Good?

Well, I ain’t tried it myself yet. But my young’un, she got herself some of that “birthday cake” tea. Zero carbs, zero sugar, she says. I don’t know what a carb is, but zero sugar sounds alright, I guess. She let me take a whiff. Smelled sweet, like vanilla and somethin’ else I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Said it tastes real good, like a treat.

My Two Cents on the Matter

Now, I’m an old woman. I like what I like. But I ain’t against trying new things. If this “dessert tea” is as good as my young’un says, then maybe it ain’t so bad. Might be a nice way to have a little somethin’ sweet without all the fuss of bakin’ a cake. And if it’s got no sugar, well, maybe that’s even better. My doctor’s been tellin’ me to cut back on the sweets for years now.

I reckon I’ll give it a try one of these days. Maybe that vanilla chai stuff. Sounds kinda warm and cozy. Or maybe that chocolate tea. That sounds right interestin’. Who knows, maybe this old woman will become a fan of this new-fangled “dessert tea.” Stranger things have happened, I tell ya.

But I’ll tell you what, it better be good and strong. I don’t like no weak tea, dessert or not!
