Alright, let’s talk about these green tea lights, you know, the little candles. I seen ’em at the store, all sorts of places. Walmart, Target, even that fancy eBay place my grandson talks about. They got ’em everywhere.

Now, what are they good for? Well, some folks say they used ’em way back when in Japan, keepin’ their tea warm. Imagine that! Sittin’ around for hours, drinkin’ tea. These little candles, they kept the tea warm the whole time. That’s what I heard, anyways.

These days, I guess people use ’em for all sorts of things. You can put ’em in them candle holders, makes the place look nice and cozy. Some folks use ’em when they do that yoga stuff, you know, stretchin’ and bendin’ like pretzels. And them church folks, they like ’em too, burn ’em during their services.

But let me tell ya, not all these green tea lights are the same. Some of ’em smell pretty, like them bayberry fir ones. Says they got “essential oils” in ’em. Sounds fancy, huh? They got others too, like eucalyptus, cedar, even somethin’ called “oakmoss and amber.” Don’t know what that is, but it smells alright, I guess.

  • Scented ones: Make the place smell nice, good for relaxin’.
  • Unscented ones: Just for light, no smell. Good if you don’t want too much goin’ on.
  • Long-burning ones: These last a long time, some say eight hours! That’s a whole lotta burnin’.
  • Little short ones: Burn quick, good for a short spell, like when the power goes out.

And you can buy ’em in all sorts of packs. Some come in little packs of six, others got a whole bunch, like 12 or even 24! The more you buy, the cheaper it is, I reckon. My grandson, he’s always lookin’ for the best deals, says he can get ’em with free shipping sometimes. Kids these days, they know how to work them computers.

Now, I heard tell that drinkin’ green tea is good for ya. Keeps your heart healthy and stops you from havin’ a stroke. Something about them “antioxidants” and “catechins” things. Don’t understand all that science talk, but if it keeps you from gettin’ sick, that’s a good thing, right? But we ain’t talkin’ about drinkin’ tea, we talkin’ ’bout the candles. Just thought I’d mention it, though.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a little bit of light, somethin’ to make the place smell nice, or just wanna keep your tea warm the old-fashioned way, these green tea lights ain’t a bad choice. Just make sure you don’t leave ’em burnin’ when you ain’t around. Fire’s a dangerous thing, you know. Gotta be careful.

I seen these tea lights made from all sorts of stuff too. Some say “soy” on ’em. Guess that’s like them soy beans they grow out in the fields. Others just say “wax.” Don’t really matter to me, as long as they burn good and don’t smoke too much. And speaking of burnin’, some of these candles, they say they burn for a long time, like eight hours or somethin’. That’s good if you don’t wanna be changin’ ‘em out all the time.

And the colors! Oh, they got all sorts of green colors. Some are light green, some are dark green, some are kinda in between. Guess it depends on what you like. Me, I like the ones that look natural, like the color of them trees outside. But my granddaughter, she likes the bright, shiny ones. Kids these days, they like everything bright and flashy.
