fruit tea
Alright, let’s talk about this Jade Oolong tea. I ain’t no fancy tea expert, mind you, but I know what I likes, and this stuff is pretty darn good.
First off, they say it’s a “highly prized tea”. Well, I reckon that means it’s good quality, not like that dusty stuff they sell down at the corner store. This Jade Oolong, it looks real pretty. The leaves are a deep green, and they’re all rolled up tight, like little green worms. When you put hot water on ‘em, they open up real nice.
Now, where’s this tea from? They say it’s from some place called Nantou County in Taiwan. Never been there myself, but if they’re makin’ tea like this, it must be a good place. They call it a “floral and buttery oolong,” which I guess means it tastes kinda like flowers and butter. Sounds a bit strange, I know, but it’s actually real pleasant.
The tea itself is a light yellow color. Not too strong, not too weak, just right. It smells good too, kinda sweet and flowery. I like to drink it in the afternoon, when I’m sittin’ on the porch, watching the birds.
It’s got somethin’ called caffeine in it, but it also got that L-theanine stuff too. I ain’t a scientist, but they say these two things work together to make you feel good. Not all jittery and nervous like coffee, but calm and focused.
They call it a “semi-oxidized tea”. Don’t ask me what that means, but it sounds fancy. And it tastes fancy too. It’s got a unique flavor, that’s for sure. Not like any other tea I’ve ever had.
This Jade Oolong, it’s got a fruity smell, and when you drink it, it’s light and kinda fruity too. They say to steep it for just a minute or two. Don’t want to make it too strong, you know. And they say to use about 14 grams for a liter of water. I just eyeball it, myself. A pinch here, a pinch there, it always comes out just fine.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good tea, somethin’ that’ll make you feel good and taste good too, give this Jade Oolong a try. You might just like it. I know I do.
And let me tell ya, it’s a “brilliant jade shaded cup”. Pretty fancy words for a simple cup of tea, but I guess it fits. It’s a beautiful tea, both to look at and to drink. They make a big deal about this tea in Taiwan, call it a “special rarity” and you can buy it “fair trade” and direct from “tea experts.” Well, I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like, and this here Jade Oolong is good stuff.
So that’s the story on this Jade Oolong tea. It’s good for your brain, good for your sleep, and good for your nerves. And it tastes mighty fine too. What more could you ask for?
