white tea
Alright, so you wanna know about that fancy tea, Darjeeling white tea, and if it’s got that kick, that caffeine, right? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know how to say it.
Does Darjeeling white tea have caffeine? You bet your bottom dollar it does! It ain’t like chamomile or somethin’ that puts ya to sleep. This tea, it comes from a special place, Darjeeling, they call it. It’s way over there, not around here, that’s for sure. And they grow this tea, special tea, smells real nice, tastes good too, I hear. But it ain’t got no sleepin’ medicine in it. It’s got that stuff that wakes ya up, makes ya wanna get things done, ya know? Like coffee, kinda, but not so rough.
Now, how much of that wake-up stuff it’s got, that caffeine, that’s a different story. It ain’t the same for every cup, see? It depends on how they make it, how long they let it sit in the hot water, all that stuff. But it’s there, believe you me. Some folks say it’s got a lot, some say it’s got a little less than other teas, or coffee even. But it’s there, buzzin’ around inside.
This Darjeeling tea, it ain’t like the stuff I used to make, just boilin’ some leaves from the yard, no sir. This is fancy stuff, like I said. People all over the world drink it. They drink it ’cause it tastes good, smells good, and, yeah, ’cause it gives ’em a little pep in their step. It’s like a social drink, ya know? Folks get together, drink this tea, talk about things. Kinda like how we used to gather ’round the table with a pot of coffee, only fancier.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to buy this tea, you gotta go to special places, I reckon. Not the corner store, probably. You gotta find a place that sells all sorts of fancy teas and spices and whatnot. And they got all kinds of it, this Darjeeling tea, I hear. Different flavors, different smells, all of ’em with that caffeine, though. Unless they do somethin’ special to take it out, but then it ain’t the real deal, is it?
So, why drink it then, if it’s got that caffeine? Well, some folks like that feeling, that little buzz. It helps ’em get goin’ in the mornin’, keeps ’em awake in the afternoon. And like I said, it tastes good. It ain’t bitter like some coffees, it’s kinda light and flowery, or so I’ve heard. I ain’t never had it myself, but that’s what people say. And it’s got that nice smell, too. Makes ya feel good just to smell it, they tell me.
And listen, if you’re worried about gettin’ too much of that caffeine, drinkin’ too much of this Darjeeling tea, well, you just don’t drink so much of it. Simple as that. Drink a little cup, see how ya feel. If ya start gettin’ all jittery, well, then ya know ya had too much. Just like coffee, ya know? Gotta find the right amount for yourself.
And another thing, don’t go drinkin’ it right before bed, that’s just silly. You’ll be up all night, countin’ sheep, tossin’ and turnin’. Drink it in the mornin’, or maybe in the afternoon if ya need a little pick-me-up. But don’t blame me if ya drink it at night and can’t sleep! I warned ya, didn’t I?
So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about this Darjeeling white tea and its caffeine. It’s got it, how much depends, don’t drink too much, and don’t drink it before bed. Now, go on and enjoy your tea, if that’s what you wanna do. Just remember what I told ya.
