Well, let me tell you about this whittard green tea, you know, the one them city folks are always yapping about. I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I know what I likes, and this stuff ain’t half bad.
First off, they say it’s from some place called Whittard of Chelsea. Sounds real highfalutin, don’t it? I reckon it’s a store or somethin’, been around since way back when, 1886 they say. Some fella named Walter started it, and his family kept it goin’ for a good long while. Now, it’s a big deal, with shops all over the place, even tea rooms, can you believe it? They sell all sorts of tea and coffee and whatnot.
Now, this green tea, it ain’t like the Lipton bags you get at the Piggly Wiggly. This is the real deal, or so they say. They got all different kinds, see. Some with mango, some with somethin’ called bergamot. I tried the one with the mango, and it was right tasty. Sweet, but not too sweet, you know? Just enough to make you feel like you’re sippin’ somethin’ special.
They say this tea has somethin’ called caffeine in it. Keeps you awake, they say. I don’t know about all that. I drink my tea in the mornin’ and I’m still tired by noon! But I reckon it gives some folks a little pep in their step. They say this mango stuff has about 31mg of that caffeine stuff in it, whatever that means.
Now, I ain’t never been to India, but I hear they grow a lot of this green tea over there. Places with names like AssamicaAgro and Jaypore. Sounds like a long ways away from here. They say these places make some of the best green tea in the world. I don’t know about that, but this Whittard stuff is pretty darn good, I gotta say.
Some of this tea comes in gift boxes, with different kinds of tea inside. Black tea, green tea, even somethin’ called oolong. I tried the oolong once, didn’t much care for it. Tasted like dirt, if you ask me. But that green tea, now that’s somethin’ I can get behind.
I seen them sellin’ this Whittard 1886 blend, loose leaf tea, comes with a little spoon even! Real fancy, like I said. Folks are always lookin’ for a deal though, wantin’ to save a dollar here and there. I reckon that’s why they go to them big online stores, hopin’ to get a good price. And there’s always those sales, limited time only, makes folks rush to buy.
So, if you’re lookin’ for some good green tea, you might give this whittard green tea a try. It ain’t cheap, mind you, but sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right? And if you’re lookin’ to buy it, I reckon you can find it at that Whittard place, or on the internet, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me, I’ll stick to buyin’ it down at the corner store, when they have it. Less fuss that way.
But let me tell you, this tea, it warms you up on a cold day, and it cools you down on a hot one. Don’t ask me how, it just does. And it tastes good too, specially that mango one. So go on, give it a try. You might just like it, even if you ain’t no fancy tea-drinkin’ city folk.
Just remember, it ain’t gonna solve all your problems, but a good cup of tea can make things a little bit better, even if it’s just for a little while. That’s what I always say.
