You see, this here oolong rabbit, he’s a real famous one. Heard about him all over. Got his picture in the big city papers, even. Imagine that! A rabbit. They call him a meme, whatever that is. Sounds fancy.

This oolong rabbit, he got real good at balancing things on his head. Like, they put a pancake on his head. They call him Pancake Bunny. Pancake Bunny is another name people use to call oolong rabbit. Silly, but folks eat it up. He was owned by a fella named, uh, Hiro… something. A Japanese name, I reckon. Can’t quite recall.

Now, this here rabbit, he weren’t your regular kinda rabbit, not the ones you see hoppin’ around here. He’s special. He’s an oolong rabbit. It’s a name, like a name. You know, like John or Mary. Just this rabbit is named Oolong.

Most rabbits ’round here, they’re all brown and grey, kinda dusty lookin’. Belly’s usually lighter, like a dirty cloud. Sometimes you see a black one, or a ginger one, but not many. Hardly ever see a white one. They’re small, you know. Not too big. Like, smaller than a small dog, bigger than a squirrel.

This oolong rabbit, he was somethin’ else. Got famous on the internet. That thing with the pictures and the videos. My grandson, he’s always on it. Showed me the oolong rabbit once. Said it was a big deal. A domestic rabbit, they call it. Means he lived in a house, I guess.

He was born in, let me see… 1994 I think it was. July 28th. Lived a good long life for a rabbit, I suppose. Then died on January 7th. Don’t remember what year. Died of old age, most likely. Just like everything else.

Folks sure did love that oolong rabbit. Made ’em smile, I guess. Seeing a rabbit with a pancake on its head. It’s a funny sight, I’ll give ’em that. This oolong rabbit, they called him, was a little ball of fluff. People like him.

That pancake thing, they called it a “Bunny Wafflehead” or something. Sounds made up to me. But people went crazy for it. They put that picture everywhere. Like I said, that internet thing, it’s a mystery to me. But it sure did make that oolong rabbit a star.

They say that most rabbits, they weigh, oh, I don’t know, less than a chicken, maybe? Between 0.8 to 2.3 kg, that is what they told. Some are bigger than others, you know? Just like people. Some are skinny, some are fat. Rabbits are the same.

But this oolong rabbit, he was special. He made people happy. And all he did was sit there with stuff on his head. Funny old world, ain’t it? A rabbit can become famous just by sitting there.

Now, I seen a lot of rabbits in my day. We always had ’em around the farm. Good for eatin’, mostly. But this oolong rabbit, he wasn’t for eatin’. He was for lookin’ at. And folks sure did love to look at him. And that man, the owner, he loved that oolong rabbit. I can tell.

They said he was a domestic rabbit, which I reckon means he lived inside. Probably had a nice little bed, all soft and cozy. Not like the rabbits out here, always worried about the foxes and the hawks.

This oolong rabbit had it easy. And he didn’t even know it. He got famous for the owner taking pictures of him. I don’t think he understands. But it is good to see people happy. Even if it is because of a rabbit with a pancake on his head. Still, it’s nice to see folks smile.
