- Black Pepper Tea What Is It And Why Is Everyone Talking About It
tea set
Okay, so today, I tried making black pepper tea. Yeah, you heard that right – black pepper in tea. Sounds weird, I know, but I saw something about it online and figured, why not give it a shot?
First, I grabbed some regular black tea bags, because that’s what I usually drink. Then, I got out my pepper grinder. I mean, black pepper is a staple in my kitchen, I put it on almost everything, eggs, soups, you name it.
Now, I didn’t want to go overboard, so I just added a small pinch of freshly ground black pepper to the mug. It looked a bit strange, to be honest, seeing those little black specks floating around in there.
I poured the boiling water over the tea bag and pepper, and let it all steep for a few minutes. I could smell the pepper, it wasn’t too strong, but definitely there. The smell is kind of making me a little excited.
Finally, I took the tea bag out and took a sip. Surprisingly, it wasn’t bad! The pepper added a little kick, a bit of warmth. It was kind of like those spicy chai teas, but simpler. I had always added sugar and milk to my tea, this time I was no exception, I added some sugar and milk, which made the tea taste better, the pepper still added a special flavor, and I found that I liked the taste.
Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be drinking black pepper tea every day. But it was a fun experiment. Maybe it’s one of those things you crave when you have a cold, or when it’s really chilly outside. It’s definitely something different, and I can see why some people might be into it. If you’re feeling adventurous, give it a try! You might be surprised.
I also heard that black pepper can help with digestion, so maybe this tea has some hidden benefits. I need to do a little more research.
And that’s how I made black pepper tea today.
