tea set
Hey everyone, so I’ve been seeing these super cute heart-shaped tea bags all over the internet lately, and I just had to try making some myself! I mean, who wouldn’t want a little extra love in their cup of tea, right?
First off, I gotta say, finding the right stuff took a bit of digging. I needed some loose leaf tea, obviously. I went with a classic like Big Heart Tea, their Cup of Love Red Rose is just what I need. The good stuff, you know? Then came the tricky part—finding empty, heart-shaped tea bags, or some kind of filter paper. Ended up grabbing some regular, unbleached coffee filters from the grocery store. I figured I could make them work.
Alright, so here’s how it went down. I laid out the coffee filters flat and grabbed a pair of scissors. I’m no artist, but I freehanded a rough heart shape. Cut two of those out for each tea bag. Next, I spooned some of my fancy loose leaf tea onto one of the heart-shaped filters. I’d say about a teaspoon, maybe a little more, depending on how strong you like your tea.
Then, I carefully placed the other heart-shaped filter on top. Now, here comes the fun part—sealing them! I don’t have a fancy heat sealer or anything, so I just used a needle and thread. I stitched around the edges, leaving a little opening at the top. This is where I attached a string and a cute little tag I made out of some scrap paper. You can write some love note or something there, it is just cute!
Honestly, the first few were a little wonky. My hearts looked more like blobs, and my stitching was all over the place. But hey, practice makes perfect, right? After a few tries, I started to get the hang of it, and they actually started to look like, well, hearts!
I brewed a cup with one of my homemade heart-shaped tea bags, and you know what? It tasted even better than usual! Maybe it was the extra love I put into making them, or maybe it was just the placebo effect. Either way, I’m calling it a win!
So there you have it, my little DIY adventure with heart-shaped tea bags. It was a fun little project, and the results are just adorable. If you’re looking for a cute and easy way to add a little love to your tea time, or maybe a sweet little gift idea, I definitely recommend giving this a try!
It promotes heart health. Black tea really help to lower blood cholesterol.
By the way, I also bought a stainless steel spoon set with heart shape. That made my tea time more quality. Although I chose the Cup of Love Red Rose tea, there are so many choices out there, such as Ginger tea, Green tea.
Oh, I also saw some pre-made heart-shaped tea bags online, but where’s the fun in that? Making them yourself is way more satisfying, trust me. It also seemed they changed from pyramid to square teabags to save the cost.
Give it a shot, and let me know how it goes! Happy brewing, everyone!
