organic tea
Alright, so the other day I got this idea stuck in my head to make a batch of white ginger pear tea. I’d seen something about it online – you know how it is, scrolling through your feed and suddenly, bam, inspiration hits.
So, I headed to the grocery store. First things first, I needed some white tea. I snagged a box of organic white tea bags – figured I’d keep it simple. Then I grabbed a few ripe pears. They were all fragrant and just the right amount of soft. For the ginger, I decided on fresh instead of powdered. It just has that bright, zingy flavor, you know? I also picked up some lemon balm at the store ’cause I read it blends well with this tea.
Back home, I got everything ready. I sliced up one pear nice and thin, and then I grated about a tablespoon of the ginger. While I was doing that, I put a pot of water on the stove to boil.
Once the water was boiling, I threw in the pear slices, grated ginger, and about a teaspoon of lemon balm. I let that simmer for maybe 10 minutes, just enough for the flavors to start mingling. Then I took it off the heat and added two white tea bags, steeping them for about 5 minutes. You don’t want to overdo it with white tea, it can get bitter.
Finally, I strained the tea into a big mug. I took a sip, and oh man, it was good. The pear added a gentle sweetness, the ginger gave it a nice kick, and the white tea was so smooth. It was a little like taking care of my throat you know? The lemon balm added a subtle minty, clean taste.
I’ll definitely be making this again. Maybe next time I’ll try adding a little honey or something. But yeah, if you’re looking for a cozy, flavorful tea, give this white ginger pear tea a try. You won’t regret it!
