So, I was thinking about trying something new and decided to make some Brisk Tea with lemon. I’ve seen those cans around, and I’ve always been curious.
First off, I went to the store and grabbed a few lemons. I also picked up some tea bags – just the regular kind, nothing fancy. I figured I’d start simple.
When I got home, I put a pot of water on the stove to boil. While waiting, I sliced up the lemons. I like a lot of lemon, so I used about two for a medium-sized pitcher. Once the water was boiling, I threw in a few tea bags. I let them steep for like five minutes – just long enough to get that tea flavor going, you know?
After that, I took out the tea bags and squeezed the lemon juice into the hot tea. I stirred it all up and then added some cold water to cool it down and dilute it a bit. I didn’t want it too strong.
Now, I know some people like their tea unsweetened, but I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth. I added a few spoonfuls of sugar, but you can use honey or whatever sweetener you like. Just taste and adjust until it’s how you want it.
Once it was all mixed, I poured the tea into a pitcher and stuck it in the fridge to chill. After a couple of hours, I poured myself a glass over some ice. It was pretty good! I mean, I know it is not soda, but it is a nice change of pace.
Honestly, making Brisk Tea with lemon was easier than I thought. It is refreshing, and you can tweak it however you like. I might try adding some mint next time, or maybe even some other fruits. If you are looking for something different to drink, give it a try. It’s a simple little project, and you might just like it!
