Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something a little different – laundry detergent. Yeah, I know, not the most exciting thing, but hear me out. I got my hands on this stuff called “Gain Botanicals White Tea and Lavender”. It’s supposed to be, like, more natural and plant-based and all that jazz.

First off, I grabbed the bottle and checked out the back. It says it’s made from 65% plant-based ingredients, which I guess is cool. And it definitely smells like lavender, which is pretty strong but not in a bad way, you know? It also says it works in all washing machines, so that’s a plus.

So, I threw a load of laundry in the washer – some t-shirts, jeans, the usual stuff. I poured in the detergent, following the instructions on the bottle. It’s a pretty normal-looking liquid detergent, not too thick or anything.

While the machine was running, I did a little digging online. Apparently, these natural detergents are supposed to be better for the environment and stuff. And since they’re plant-based, they’re gentler on clothes. Makes sense, I guess.

Once the cycle was done, I took the clothes out and gave them a good sniff. They definitely smelled like white tea and lavender, which was kind of relaxing, actually. I hung them up to dry, and once they were dry, I checked for any stains or anything. Everything seemed clean, no complaints there. And you know what? The clothes felt pretty soft, too.

My two cents?

• The Gain Botanicals White Tea and Lavender did a decent job cleaning my clothes.
• The scent is strong, but I liked it. If you’re sensitive to smells, though, it might be too much.
• It’s cool that it’s more natural and plant-based. I’m trying to be a little more eco-conscious these days.
• Used it for a week, did about five loads of laundry, and all of them came out just fine. No shrinking, no fading, nothing like that.

So, yeah, that’s my little experiment with this Gain Botanicals detergent. Not super exciting, but hey, clean clothes are important, right? And if you can get that with something that’s a little better for the planet, that’s a win in my book. I will try some other detergents next week. See you guys!
