ginger tea
Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little experiments. Today, I’m messing around with sage tea bags, something I’ve been curious about for a while now. So, I finally got my hands on some of these, and let me tell you, the whole process was quite interesting.
First off, I went out and bought a few different brands of sage tea bags. I found some “Premium 50 Sage Tea Bags,” which they say are made with “100% Natural Sage Leaves,” and then some “Organic Sage Leaf Tea” from Buddha Teas which costs me almost 8 dollars. Also, I found some from a brand called CELEBRATION HERBALS, and then some Yogi Tea Blueberry Sage. It’s a whole mix, and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I opened one of them up to take a look at these leaves. They’re long and oval-shaped, kind of pebbly in texture, and man, they smell strong. It filled up my kitchen!
Brewing the tea was straightforward. I boiled some water, threw in a tea bag, and let it steep. It’s just like making regular tea, nothing fancy. The color turned out to be a nice golden hue, which was pretty inviting. The smell while brewing was really soothing, kind of herby and earthy. It felt relaxing just getting a whiff of it.
They all tasted similar, but the blueberry one has a slight fruity taste, which is nice. I’ve been drinking this stuff throughout the day. I read somewhere that it’s caffeine-free, so it won’t mess with your sleep. Good news for a night owl like me! I heard it can actually help you sleep better because it’s warming and all that. I haven’t noticed anything crazy yet, but I do feel a bit more relaxed. And I gotta say, my mouth feels fresher, which is a nice bonus.
I also did a little digging online and found out that sage tea has a bunch of healthy stuff in it. Apparently, it’s good for your skin, mouth, and even your brain. Some folks say it might even help protect against certain diseases. But, there’s also a warning about drinking too much of it. Too much sage can cause some nasty side effects like restlessness, vomiting, dizziness, and even kidney damage. So, like with everything, moderation is key.
It’s a thumbs up from me. I enjoyed the whole experience, from the smell to the taste to the relaxed feeling afterward. I’ll definitely be keeping these sage tea bags in my cupboard. If you’re into herbal teas, give this one a try. Just remember not to overdo it!
