Ginger Green Tea and Lemon: This Is the Easiest and Most Delicious Way to Prepare It

So, the other day I got this idea to make some ginger green tea with lemon. I’d heard it’s pretty good for you, like, helps with digestion and gives your immune system a little boost. Figured it was worth a shot, right?

First, I gathered everything I needed. That was just some green tea bags, a knob of fresh ginger, and a lemon. Oh, and water, obviously. I like to use filtered water because, you know, it just tastes better.

Prepping the Ingredients

  • Washed the lemon and the ginger. I mean, you gotta wash your produce, people. No one wants dirt in their tea.
  • Sliced the lemon into a few thin rounds. I saved the rest for later. Maybe for another drink, or who knows, maybe I’d get fancy and use it as a garnish.
  • Then came the ginger. I peeled it with a spoon – that’s a neat trick I learned. Works like a charm! After peeling, I sliced it into these thin little pieces, about two or three should do it.

Brewing the Tea

Boiled some water in my kettle. While waiting for that, I placed a green tea bag into my favorite mug. It’s this big, comfy one that just feels right for a relaxing tea time.

Once the water was ready, I poured it over the tea bag. Then I added in the ginger slices. I let it all sit there and steep for, like, 3 minutes. You don’t want to overdo it with green tea, or it gets bitter.

Adding the Lemon

After the steeping time, I took out the tea bag and dropped in a slice of lemon. Gave it a gentle stir with a spoon. It smelled really good at this point – all fresh and zingy.

Enjoying the Tea

Finally, I sat down and enjoyed my homemade ginger green tea with lemon. It was warm and comforting. The ginger added a nice little kick, and the lemon made it refreshing. I think I might add a little honey next time, see how that tastes.

And that’s it! It’s a simple thing, but it felt good to make something healthy for myself. Plus, it was pretty tasty. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try. You might like it as much as I did!
