Gold Peak Lemon Iced Tea: Ingredients and Nutrition Info Here!

Okay, so I wanted to try out that Gold Peak Lemon Iced Tea. You know, the one that’s always in those big plastic bottles at the grocery store? I figured it would be a good way to cool down, it’s getting pretty warm these days.

First, I grabbed a bottle from the fridge section at my local supermarket. It was easy to spot, I mean, it is hard to miss the typical label and the large bottle, right?

Twisted off the cap and took a big sip. It’s sweet, as you’d expect, but not like, overly sugary. They use real cane sugar in the sweetened version. I checked out the label and it said it contains water, sugar, natural flavors, tea powder, citric acid, and caramel color. Noticed it mentioned something about being high in carbs and sugar, yeah that made sense.

Taste Test

  • First sip: Sweet, lemony, pretty refreshing.
  • Halfway through: Still good, the sweetness is definitely there, but it’s not making me feel sick.
  • Finished the bottle: Yep, I drank the whole thing. It was good!

I also saw on the label that there’s another version, brewed with black tea leaves and lemon juice, with the addition of natural flavors. That sounds interesting, might try that next time.

Then I got curious about the calories and stuff. Looked it up and an 18.5-ounce bottle of Gold Peak Green Tea has 38 grams of added sugars and 150 calories. For the Lemon flavor, the nutritional label suggests there are 180 calories, but the brewed version has only 80 calories. It depends on the version you choose. Also, they say it’s mostly carbs, like, 100% carbs. Zero fat. Okay, so it’s basically a sugary drink, but we knew that, right?

So, would I buy it again? Probably. It’s a nice treat, especially when it’s hot out. I liked that it wasn’t too sugary. But I probably wouldn’t drink it every day, you know, because of all the sugar. But as a once-in-a-while thing? Sure.

Overall, I gave Gold Peak Lemon Iced Tea a thumbs up. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for something sweet and refreshing. Just don’t go overboard, okay? It is still a sugary drink at the end of the day.
