I started to do some digging. I mean, I didn’t want to buy some fake or something that wasn’t worth the money. I spent hours reading articles and watching videos from antique experts. It was actually pretty interesting learning about all the different makers and the little details to look for, like the markings on the bottom of the cups and the style of the handles.

After I felt like I knew at least a little bit about what I was doing, I went back to the auction and, man, I was nervous. Bidding on these things can get pretty intense! But I set a budget for myself and stuck to it. I placed my bids, held my breath, and guess what? I won! I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited, I probably danced around my living room for a good five minutes.
