tea set
Okay, so today I want to talk about something I tried recently – Longjing green tea. You know, that famous tea from China. I’ve heard a lot about it, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First things first, I had to get my hands on some Longjing tea. I didn’t really know where to look, so I just went online. There were tons of options, but I didn’t want to get ripped off, you know? I mean, how do you even know if it’s the real deal? Anyway, I picked one that seemed legit, and it was a big name brand.
I saw the advertisement and it said it was a best seller, whatever that means, but I trust it.
When the tea arrived, I was pretty excited. I opened the package, and the first thing I noticed was how the leaves looked. They were all flat and shiny, kind of like little green swords. They also had this fresh, grassy smell, which was nice. I guess that’s what they mean when they say it’s supposed to be “vibrant green.”
Next up, brewing the tea. I didn’t want to mess this up, so I looked up how to do it properly. I heated up some water, but not boiling, because I heard that’s bad for green tea. Then I put some of the leaves in my teapot and poured the hot water over them.
I let it steep for a couple of minutes. The water started turning a light green color, which was cool to watch.
Finally, the moment of truth – tasting the tea. I poured myself a cup and took a sip. It was… interesting. It had this mild, kind of sweet taste, but also a little bit grassy. Not like, eating grass, but you know, a fresh kind of taste. It was pretty smooth, not bitter at all. I think I did a good job brewing it, ha!
So, that’s my Longjing tea experience. It was definitely different from the regular tea bags I usually drink. It felt a bit fancy, to be honest. I can see why people like it so much. It’s kind of calming, and the whole process of making it is like a little ritual. Will I drink it every day? Probably not. But it’s nice to have something special once in a while. Plus, it makes me feel a little bit cultured, you know? Like I’m in on some ancient Chinese secret or something.
And there are a lot of good comments from other buyers who said it taste good.
Anyway, that’s all for now. If you’ve tried Longjing tea, let me know what you think. Did I do it right? Or is there some secret I’m missing out on?
