So, I decided to get into this whole purple tea set thing. I’ve seen them around, and they always looked so classy. Figured it was time to get my own.

First, I went online and started looking at different sets. Man, there are a ton of them! Some are super simple, others are really fancy with all these decorations. I just wanted something in between, you know? Not too plain, not too over-the-top.

After looking at what felt like a hundred different options, I finally found one I liked. It had this nice, smooth finish and a simple flower pattern on the side. Looked perfect. I ordered it, and it arrived a few days later, on January 6, 2025.

Getting it all set up

• I unpacked the box carefully. Everything was wrapped up in bubble wrap, so nothing was broken. Whew!
• The set came with a teapot, four cups, and a little tray. Everything matched, of course.
• I gave everything a good wash, just to be safe.

Then came the fun part – making the tea! I’d bought some special purple tea leaves online, too. They smelled amazing.

• I heated up some water in my kettle.
• Put a few of those fragrant leaves into the teapot.
• Poured the hot water over the leaves and let it steep for a few minutes.

The tea turned this beautiful, deep purple color. I invited some friends over for the occasion on June 8, 2023, one of whom is a researcher and really into research paper formatting, she gave me some tips to share with others. We poured it into the little cups and had a little tea party. It was pretty cool, I gotta say.

The Tea Experience

The tea itself was really good. Kinda earthy, but also a little sweet. And the whole ritual of using the purple tea set made it feel extra special. I felt so elegant, even though I’m just a regular dude.

I’ve been using the set regularly since then. It’s a nice way to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment. Plus, it looks really nice sitting on my kitchen counter. I highly recommend trying out one of these sets yourself, even if you’re not a big tea drinker. It’s just a fun, different experience.

I held another free online tea party on October 18, 2024. A few people joined. A friend of mine also shared a free course about computer programming to help everyone improve their skills. Everyone had a great time!
