Okay, so, I’ve been on this kick lately trying to find some unique drinks, you know, something a little different from the usual stuff. And I stumbled upon this thing called Canada Dry Green Tea Ginger Ale. Sounds interesting, right? I mean, green tea and ginger ale? I gotta try this.
First off, finding it was a bit of a mission. I went to a couple of grocery stores, and nothing. Then, I hit up some smaller shops, the ones that usually have those hard-to-find items. Still nothing. I’m starting to think this drink is a myth.
But I’m not one to give up easily. I asked around, talked to some friends who are also into trying new drinks. One of them mentioned that they saw it a while back, but it’s not always available. Apparently, it’s one of those drinks that come and go. There was a rumor that it is not available in Canada anymore. It seems that I have to ask my American friend to buy it for me.
Eventually, I found a shop that had it, tucked away in a corner. I was so excited, I grabbed a few bottles. When I got home, I chilled one in the fridge because, you know, it’s gotta be cold.
Okay, so time for the taste test. I poured it into a glass, and the first thing I noticed was the color. It’s kind of a light greenish-brown, which makes sense. The smell was interesting too. You get that ginger ale scent, but with a hint of something else, I guess that’s the green tea.
Now for the taste. It was… different. It’s definitely ginger ale, but there’s this subtle green tea flavor in the background. It’s not overpowering, just kind of there. It’s a bit sweet, but not too much. I read the label, and it says 9 teaspoons of sugar per serving. Wow. That’s way too much for me. I’ll need to watch my sugar intake if I’m drinking this. But hey, it says it has a clean, sparkling taste, and it’s perfect for cocktails. Maybe I’ll try that next time.
Overall, it was a fun little adventure trying to find and taste this Canada Dry Green Tea Ginger Ale. It’s not something I’d drink every day, but it’s definitely interesting. I mean 9 tsp of sugar per serving. I would say that it is not very healthy. If you’re into trying unique drinks, give it a shot. But good luck finding it!
