Today, I tried to make a cup of white chocolate tea. I’d never done it before, so I just winged it.

First, I grabbed some loose leaf peppermint tea from my stash. I had some green and red rooibos on hand, so I tossed those in too. I figured, why not? It all sounded good together.

Mixing Things Up

  • Measured about two ounces of the peppermint tea.
  • Added a pinch of the green and red rooibos.
  • Found some white chocolate peppermint bark I bought and never opened.

I crushed up the bark into smaller pieces. Then I mixed the crushed bark with the tea leaves. It smelled amazing, like rich cocoa and mint.

Next, I boiled some water and poured it over the tea mixture. I let it steep for a while, maybe five minutes? I didn’t time it, just waited until it looked like tea.

Finally, I strained the tea into a mug and took a sip. It was pretty good! The peppermint and chocolate flavors really came through. It was a bit of an experiment, but I think it turned out well. Definitely worth trying if you’ve got some peppermint tea and white chocolate lying around.
