Okay, so I’ve been dealing with this annoying ingrown toenail for a while now. It started as a little discomfort, but quickly turned into a throbbing, red mess. I tried soaking it in warm water and Epsom salts, which helped a bit, but the pain kept coming back. My wife suggested me try a remedy, and I tried that too, That’s when I remembered something I’d read about tea tree oil and decided to do some checking online.

My Tea Tree Oil Experiment

I read somewhere that tea tree oil has some properties that can help with. So, I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

First, I made sure to clean the area really well. I washed my foot with soap and water, and then dried it thoroughly. Gotta make sure there’s no extra dirt or anything around.

  • Clean and Soaked:I cleaned that area, and soaked my foot in warm water with Epsom salts for about 20 minutes. This softens the skin and nail, making it easier to deal with.
  • Dried Throughly:Dried my foot, especially around the ingrown nail.
  • Applied the Oil:I took a bottle of tea tree oil and poured two drops of pure, 100% tea tree oil straight onto the affected area,Try not let it run all over the place.
  • Covered It Up:I put a clean bandage over it to keep it protected and let the oil do its thing.

The Result

I did this twice a day, after cleaning that * repeat this for a *, after a few days, I started noticing a difference. The redness and swelling started to go down, and the pain wasn’t as bad.

It’s not an instant miracle cure, but it definitely helped me. I plan on keeping this up until the nail grows out completely. I’m pretty happy with the results so far. Tea tree oil is now my new best friend!
