Okay, so the other day I got this idea stuck in my head: black tea with cinnamon. Sounds simple, right? But I wanted to actually try it and see if it was any good. So, here’s how it all went down.

Getting Started

First, I gathered my stuff. Obviously, I needed some black tea. I just used the regular tea bags I had in the cupboard – nothing fancy. Then, I grabbed a cinnamon stick from my spice rack. I figured a stick would be better than ground cinnamon, you know, for a cleaner flavor.

Brewing the Tea

Next, I boiled some water. While the water was heating up, I put one tea bag in my favorite mug. Once the water was ready, I poured it over the tea bag.

Adding the Cinnamon

Here’s the key part: I dropped the cinnamon stick right into the mug with the steeping tea. I decided to let it all sit there together for about, I don’t know, 5 minutes? Just eyeballed it, really. I wanted the cinnamon to really infuse into the tea.

The First Taste

  • I removed the cinnamon stick.
  • Then remove the tea bag.

I carefully took out the tea bag and cinnamon stick, gave it a little stir, and then…the moment of truth! I took a sip.

My Thoughts

Honestly, it was pretty good! The cinnamon added a warm, spicy note to the black tea. It wasn’t overpowering, just a nice subtle flavor. It felt really cozy, perfect for a chilly day or maybe even with a little sweet treat. I think I might experiment with different types of black tea next time, maybe an Earl Grey or something. And perhaps add honey in it.

So, yeah, that’s my black tea and cinnamon adventure. Super simple, but definitely a tasty experiment! It is so good and I will drink it next time.
