Okay, so I’ve been getting into tea lately, like really into it. And I heard about this thing called Lapsang Souchong, and also Oolong, and I thought, “Why not try mixing them?” So, that’s exactly what I did.
First, I grabbed my tea stuff. I’ve got this little teapot, some tea filters, and my trusty electric kettle. I needed to get the teas, obviously. I already had some Oolong – it’s kind of my go-to, a nice, mellow flavor. But Lapsang Souchong? That was new to me. So I ran to the store.
The tea aisle was a little overwhelming, to be honest. So many boxes! But finally, I found it: Lapsang Souchong. The box said something about “smoky” flavor, which sounded… interesting.
Back home, I got to work. Here is the steps I made:
I let it sit for a few minutes, and get all dark.
Finally, I poured myself a cup. It smelled… different. Definitely smoky, but also kind of like regular tea, I guess because of the Oolong. I took a sip, and wow the taste is strong! It was like I don’t know… drinking a campfire? But, also, kind of good? The Oolong was there in the background, making it a little smoother.
I kept sipping, and the more I drank, the more I liked it. It was definitely a strong flavor, something you’d need to get used to. I’m not sure if I’d drink it every day, but it was a fun experiment! Maybe next time I’ll try a little less of the Lapsang Souchong, or maybe even a different kind of Oolong. It’s all about trying new things, right?
