So, I’ve been messing around with tea lately, and I stumbled upon this “Magnolia Oolong” thing. I was like, “Magnolia? In tea? Gotta try that.”

Finding the Stuff

First step, obviously, was getting my hands on some. I checked out a few of my usual online tea spots, and I finally found one place that has it. I add it to my chart.

Brewing It Up

When the tea arrived,I ripped open the package. It smelled kinda floral, but not like super strong, you know? More like a subtle, sweet scent. I used my little teapot, the one I always use for oolongs.

  • I heated up some water, not quite boiling, but pretty darn hot.
  • I tossed a few teaspoons of the tea leaves into my teapot.
  • Then, I poured the hot water over the leaves, and put the lid.

I let it steep for like, maybe 3 or 4 minutes. I didn’t want to overdo it and make it bitter.

Tasting Time

After the time was done,I poured myself a cup. The color was a nice, light golden-ish. I took a sniff—definitely that magnolia smell, but also something a bit… creamy?

I took a sip. Okay, this is good! It’s smooth, not bitter at all. You get that floral thing, but it’s not overpowering. It’s kinda sweet, and there’s this almost buttery taste in the background. It’s super chill and relaxing to drink.

I keep trying and drank a few more cups, playing around with the steeping time a bit. Longer steeping made it a bit stronger, but it never got that nasty, bitter taste that some teas get.

My Thoughts

Honestly, I’m really liking this Magnolia Oolong. It’s become my new *’s different, refreshing, and just plain * you are a tea lover, you can try it!
