Hey there, let me tell ya ’bout this Big Red Robe Oolong tea. I don’t know all them fancy words, but I know what tastes good, ya know? This tea, they call it Da Hong Pao, somethin’ like that. Sounds all highfalutin, but it’s just tea, real good tea though.

It grows up in them mountains, Wuyi Mountains they say. Way up high on the rocks, I reckon. Must be hard work gettin’ it, but it’s worth it, I tell ya. The leaves, they look kinda like ropes, all twisted and tight. Green and brown, like the dirt and the plants mixed together.

  • Pickin’ the tea: They only pick it once a year, in May or June. Gotta be careful, I guess, gettin’ just the right leaves.
  • Makin’ the tea: Takes a whole lotta steps to make it, seven they say. I don’t know all the details, but it’s a lot of work.

Now, how you make this tea, that’s important. You gotta use hot water, real hot, like boilin’ hot. And some folks say you gotta use special pots, made outta purple clay. I don’t have none of that fancy stuff, but I make do. Just good hot water and a regular pot, it works just fine. You pour that water over the leaves and let it sit, then you drink it. It’s got this smell, like flowers, real nice. And the taste, oh, the taste! It’s kinda sweet, and it stays in your mouth a long time. Makes ya feel good, ya know?

Folks say this tea is good for ya. They say it can give ya energy, help your blood move around better. I don’t know ’bout all that science stuff, but I know it makes me feel better. When I’m tired, a cup of this tea perks me right up. And it just tastes so darn good, that’s enough for me.

They got all kinds of stories ’bout how this tea got its name, Big Red Robe. One story’s ’bout some emperor way back when, got sick and this tea cured him. So he gave his big red robe to the tea bushes, to thank ’em. Sounds kinda crazy, but it’s a good story. And that’s what makes this tea special, ya know? It ain’t just tea, it’s got stories and history behind it.

This tea, it ain’t cheap. The real good stuff, from them old tea bushes, that’s worth a fortune, they say. I ain’t got none of that fancy stuff, but even the regular kind is good enough for me. It’s a treat, ya know? Somethin’ special you save for when you want somethin’ nice.

Back in the old days, this tea was so good, it won all the tea competitions. They called it the King of Tea! And folks even had to worship it, can ya believe that? Worship a tea bush! Well, I guess when somethin’s that good, you gotta show some respect, right?

So, if you ever get a chance to try this Big Red Robe Oolong, don’t pass it up. It might not look like much, but it’s got a taste that’ll knock your socks off. It’s strong, it’s sweet, it’s got that flower smell, and it just makes ya feel good all over. That’s what I call a good cup of tea, and that’s all there is to it. Don’t need no fancy words or fancy pots, just good tea and hot water. That’s the way I like it, and I reckon you will too.
