black tea
Alright, let’s talk about this Birchall Green Tea, you know, the one they say is so good for ya. I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I know, and what I heard from them city folks.
First off, they say it’s “purifyin’ and restorin’.” Now, I ain’t sure what all them big words mean, but I reckon it means it cleans ya out inside, like a good spring cleanin’ for your body. They say it’s got them “anti-somethin’s,” anti-oxy… anti-ox… somethin’ like that. Anyway, these things are supposed to be good for ya, keep ya healthy and fight off all them nasty things that make ya sick.
This tea, it’s green, not like the black tea I used to drink. It’s a bit lighter, and they say it don’t have as much of that “caff-een” stuff in it. That’s good, I guess, ’cause too much of that stuff makes ya jittery, like a squirrel on a hot tin roof. They say you can drink three to five cups of this green tea a day, and it’ll do ya good. More than that, and maybe it’s too much, but mostly, it’s good for ya. Heck, they even say drinkin’ more of it can make ya feel a whole lot better.
Now, there’s different kinds of green tea, I hear. There’s this one called “matcha,” and they say that one’s the best. Why? Well, ’cause you’re drinkin’ the whole leaf, not just the water that’s been run through it. That means you get more of them good things, more of them anti-oxy… whatever they’re called, and more of that stuff that makes ya feel calm, like “thee-an-ine,” somethin’ like that. And it’s got that green stuff in it too, “chloro-fill,” I think they called it.
I saw some other teas too, when I was lookin’ at this Birchall stuff. Big Rift Tea, Silver Birch Leaf Tea, even some made from the bark of the tree! All sorts of fancy names and prices. But this Birchall Green Tea, they say it’s a good one, a “classic choice” for your everyday tea drinkin’. They make it from leaves grown on special farms, where they treat the workers right and take care of the trees.
They say it’s got a “bright” color, kinda yellow-green, and it tastes “refreshin’.” I don’t know about all them fancy words, but it tastes alright to me. Not too strong, not too weak, just right. And if it does all them good things they say it does, well, that’s just a bonus, ain’t it?
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good cup of tea, somethin’ that’ll make ya feel better inside and out, maybe give this Birchall Green Tea a try. It ain’t gonna hurt ya, and who knows, maybe it’ll do ya a whole lot of good. Just don’t expect it to work miracles, you still gotta eat your vegetables and get some fresh air, you know.
And remember, drinkin’ tea is supposed to be enjoyable, not a chore. So sit back, relax, and enjoy your cuppa. That’s what I do, anyway.
