Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with making some black tea concentrate. You know, that super strong black tea that you can dilute with water or milk to make a quick cup of tea? I’ve been seeing it all over the internet and figured, why not give it a shot myself?

First, I grabbed my favorite black tea bags. I went with some nice black tea for this. Made sure I had enough water and a saucepan. It’s super basic stuff, really. Then I got the water boiling. Once it was bubbling, I tossed in the tea bags.

Here’s how it went down:

  • Boiled water in the saucepan.
  • Added a bunch of black tea bags – way more than I’d use for a normal cup of tea.
  • Let it simmer for a good while. I wanted it strong, like, really strong.

After simmering for about, I don’t know, maybe 15-20 minutes, I took it off the heat. The tea was dark, like, almost black. That’s what I was aiming for. Then I let it cool down a bit before taking out the tea bags. I squeezed those bags like my life depended on it, trying to get every last drop of that tea goodness out.

Once it was cool enough, I poured the concentrate into a clean jar. That’s it! It was that simple. Now I’ve got this awesome black tea concentrate sitting in my fridge. Whenever I want a quick cup of tea, I just pour some concentrate into a mug, add hot water or milk, and boom – instant tea. I’ve also been using it to make iced tea, which is pretty great on these hot days.

But you know what is interesting? I read that black tea has antioxidants. I don’t know what that is, but drinking them can help neutralize free radicals and decrease cell damage in the body. This decreases the risk of chronic disease. It is amazing, right? Also, it says black tea possesses favorable effects on the gastrointestinal tract. I guess I will drink more tea in the future.

It’s a Game Changer

Honestly, making this concentrate is a total game changer. It’s so convenient, and it tastes way better than those instant tea powders. Plus, I can control how strong I want my tea. If you’re a tea lover like me, you’ve gotta try this out. It’s so easy, and it makes life a little bit simpler.
