- Black Tea Eye Cream Fresh: Simple Tips to Reduce Puffiness!
black tea
Okay, so I’ve been on this whole “natural beauty” kick lately, and I kept seeing stuff about the benefits of black tea for your skin. Specifically, for those annoying dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. I’m a sucker for a good DIY, so I decided to try making my own black tea eye cream.
First, I brewed some super strong black tea. I used two tea bags in maybe half a cup of water, and I let it steep for a good 15 minutes, until it was, like, really dark and intense.
While that was cooling, I grabbed a small, clean jar – one of those little sample jars you get with fancy face creams. Gotta have a cute container, right?
Then, I mixed a few things that I already had around the house. I used:
Once the tea was completely cool (important – don’t want to burn yourself!), I carefully added about a tablespoon of it to my little mixture. I stirred everything together until it was a nice, smooth, kinda brownish cream.
I’ve been using this stuff every night for about a week now. After I wash my face, I just dab a little bit under my eyes and gently pat it in. It feels really cool and refreshing, which is a nice bonus.
Honestly? It’s not some miracle cure, but I do think my under-eye area looks a little less tired. The puffiness seems to have gone down a bit, and the dark circles aren’t quite as intense. Plus, it’s super cheap and easy to make, so I’m definitely going to keep using it! Maybe with continued use, I’ll see even better results. It’s all about being consistent, I guess!
