Over in the UK, they say this black tea is the regular kind, like what everyone drinks. They call it “normal” tea. Guess that means it ain’t nothin’ special, just your everyday tea. But they got all these fancy names for it, like “Yorkshire” tea, sounds like a place, not a drink. But folks seem to like it, so who am I to judge?

And there’s these tea mixologists, whatever those are, makin’ all sorts of mixes with the black tea. I guess they put other things in it, like flowers or fruits or whatever. Seems like a waste of good tea to me, but folks like what they like. They say these mix folks in the UK got the most kinds of black tea mixes, so if you’re into that sorta thing, go on over there and try it.

But me, I just like my tea plain and simple. Hot water, tea bag, maybe a bit of sugar if I’m feelin’ fancy. None of that mixy-matchy stuff. Just plain old black tea, the kind you can find anywhere. Don’t need to go to eBay or some fancy shop, just the regular store will do. It’s all the same in the end, just hot water with leaves. Keeps ya warm and wakes ya up, that’s all that matters.
