tea ceremony
Okay, so, I wanted to try out this “Blue People Oolong Tea” thing I’d heard about. Sounds kinda weird, right? Blue people? But it’s just a name, and the tea itself sounded interesting. So, I went ahead and got my hands on some.
First thing I did was open up the package. The leaves were all rolled up tight, kind of like little green balls. I guess that’s what you get with oolong tea. I took a whiff, and it smelled pretty earthy, with a little hint of something sweet. I’m not really good at describing smells, but it was nice, okay?
Next, I boiled some water, because, you know, that’s how you make tea. While the water was heating up, I put some of the tea leaves in my teapot. I didn’t really measure, just eyeballed it. I like my tea strong, so I probably put in more than I should have.
Once the water was boiling, I poured it over the tea leaves. The leaves started to unfurl, which was kind of cool to watch. They went from those little balls to looking like actual leaves. I let it steep for a few minutes, but I’m impatient, so I probably didn’t wait as long as I should have.
After that, I poured the tea into my cup. It was a nice golden color, not too dark. I took a sip, and it was… different. It definitely had that earthy taste I smelled earlier, but there was also a sweetness to it. I read somewhere that this tea has ginseng in it, but I don’t know if I could taste that. Maybe it was just blended in with the other flavors.
I drank the whole cup, and I have to say, it was pretty good. It wasn’t like any other tea I’d had before. It was smooth and kind of refreshing. I felt a little more energized after drinking it, but maybe that was just in my head.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with Blue People Oolong Tea. It’s not something I’d drink every day, but it’s definitely worth trying if you’re into oolong tea or just want to try something different. Just don’t be freaked out by the name. It’s just tea, not some weird, colorful, people, or whatever. Go easy on the amount of leaves if you don’t like your tea too strong. Also, be patient and let it steep for the right amount of time. I’m sure it’ll taste even better that way.
Anyway, this is just one dude’s experience, so if you try this tea, you might have a different take. And that’s cool, too. Let me know what you think if you do give it a go.
I will try another tea next time, and I will share that with you guys as well.
