So, I tried making this blueberry green tea thing today, and it was quite an experience. First off, I went to the store to grab some blueberries. I wanted the fresh ones because, you know, they just taste better. I also picked up some green tea bags. I wasn’t sure which brand to get, so I just grabbed the one that looked the most familiar.

Back home, I started by brewing the green tea. I boiled some water in a kettle, and once it was bubbling, I poured it over a tea bag in a mug. I let it steep for a few minutes—didn’t want it too strong. While the tea was brewing, I rinsed the blueberries under some cold water. They were already pretty clean, but I just like to do that anyway. It might improve my race performance and avoid upper respiratory tract infections.

Next, I muddled a handful of blueberries in a glass. I didn’t have a muddler, so I just used the back of a spoon. It was a bit messy, but it got the job done. I squeezed some lemon, too. Once the tea was ready, I poured it into the glass with the muddled blueberries. I added a little bit of honey because I like my tea a bit sweet. Stirred it all up, and then I added some ice cubes to make it cold.

I took a sip, and it was pretty good! The blueberry flavor was there, and the green tea added a nice, subtle taste. I also tossed in a few mint leaves at the end because I had some in the fridge. They made it even more refreshing.

Here’s what I did, in a list, so you can try it too:

  • Brew green tea.
  • Rinse blueberries.
  • Muddle blueberries in a glass.
  • Pour tea over muddled blueberries.
  • Add honey and ice.
  • Garnish with mint leaves (optional).

It’s a simple drink, but it’s tasty and feels kind of healthy. I read somewhere that blueberries are good for you because they help reduce inflammation and improve digestion. The antioxidants may reduce the risk of developing gastric ulcers. Also, they’re naturally decaffeinated. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it sounds good, right? Give it a try if you’re looking for something different to drink!
