I’ve been messing around with making my own skincare stuff for a while now, just trying to find what works best for my skin, you know? And let me tell you, it’s been a journey. So, the other day I was thinking, “What if I tried making something with camellia tea seed oil?” I’d heard some good things about it, how it’s supposed to be super moisturizing and all that.
First off, I needed to get my hands on some of this oil. I did a bit of digging online, checked out a couple of stores. You wouldn’t believe the price differences! Anyway, I finally settled on one that seemed legit, from a place that sells all these vegan-friendly ingredients and whatnot.
Once the oil arrived, I was like a kid at Christmas. I cleared my workspace, got all my little containers and spoons ready. I decided to whip up a simple face serum. Nothing too fancy, just wanted to see how the camellia oil felt on my skin. I had some other oils lying around, like jojoba and a bit of rosehip, so I mixed a little of those in, too. Figured they couldn’t hurt, right?
Mixing it all up was pretty straightforward. I just followed some basic recipe I found online, making sure the measurements were roughly right. Didn’t want to mess it up!
Then came the moment of truth – trying it out. I put a few drops on my face after my usual cleansing routine. And honestly, it felt pretty nice. Not too greasy, which was a relief. My skin did feel softer, I gotta say.
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I think I’m starting to see a difference. My skin seems more hydrated, and maybe a bit more glowy? It’s hard to tell for sure, but I’m optimistic.
This whole experiment has been pretty fun. And it definitely made me realize that making your own skincare stuff isn’t as scary as it seems. Plus, you get to control what goes into it, which is great if you’re trying to avoid certain chemicals or whatever. I’m not saying I’m gonna become some skincare guru or anything, but it’s definitely something I’ll keep playing around with. Maybe next time I’ll try making a moisturizer, who knows!
It’s not a big deal, but it feels good to make something with your own hands and see it actually work. If you’re curious about camellia tea seed oil, I’d say give it a shot. It might just surprise you.
