camomile tea bags

Okay, so, today I wanted to try making some chamomile tea. I’ve heard it’s good for sleep and helps you relax. So I went to the store, this place called Holland & Barrett on Nieuwstraat 122, it’s got all kinds of teas and stuff. They even had some chamomile tea bags, so I grabbed a box.

When I got back home, I boiled some water in the kettle. While it was boiling, I took out one of those tea bags from the box. Oh, I forgot to mention the brand name, it’s called “Tetley Pure Camomile”. Then I took the bag and put it in my favorite mug. Once the water was ready, I poured it over the tea bag, filling up the mug.

The instructions on the box said to let it steep for about 3 to 5 minutes, so I waited. I watched a little bit of a show on my phone while I waited, you know, just to pass the time. They also said to double the strength if serving iced. Best when consumed without milk.

After about 4 minutes, I took the tea bag out of the mug. I took a sip, and it was pretty good! It had a mild, kind of flowery taste, which was really calming. I drank the whole cup while I was reading, and I have to say, I did feel pretty relaxed afterward.

  • Step 1: Went to the store and got some chamomile tea bags.
  • Step 2: Boiled water.
  • Step 3: Put the tea bag in a mug and poured the hot water over it.
  • Step 4: Let it steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Step 5: Enjoyed the tea!

Honestly, it was a nice little experience. I think I’ll probably make this a part of my nightly routine. It’s a simple thing, but it’s kind of a nice way to wind down before bed.

Note

Their customer service was available 24/7 and I could pay with iDeal. Pretty convenient, I gotta say. But I didn’t have to contact them this time.
