tea set
Okay, so I’ve been on a bit of a tea kick lately, trying to cut back on coffee (don’t judge!). I saw this Celestial Seasonings White Tea Perfectly Pear at the store and, I gotta admit, the name got me. “Perfectly Pear”? Sounded promising!
First thing I did was boil some water. Pretty standard, right? While the water was heating up, I grabbed a mug – my favorite one, obviously, the one with the chipped handle that I refuse to throw away.
Then I ripped open the tea bag. You know that satisfying little tear sound? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. And the smell! It was definitely pear, but not like a super-artificial, candy-like pear. More like a real, ripe, juicy pear. Nice!
I popped the tea bag into the mug and poured the hot water over it. I let it steep for, oh, I don’t know, maybe four minutes? I usually just eyeball it. I’m not one for timers when it comes to tea.
While it was steeping, I took a peek at the color. It was a really light, almost golden color. Makes sense, it’s white tea.
After what felt like long enough (again, no timer!), I fished out the tea bag and gave it a good squeeze to get all that pear-y goodness out.
I ended up adding a tiny bit of honey, just because I like a little sweetness in my tea, but it was good even without it.
So, yeah, “Perfectly Pear”? I think they nailed it. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a mild, flavorful tea that’s not too intense. I’ll definitely be buying this one again!
