Okay, so today, let’s talk about this whole Chinese tea set thing. I’ve been wanting to get into this for a while now, and I finally took the plunge and started to get all the necessary stuff. So I will share with you how I choose and use it.

Getting Started

First off, I went online and did some serious browsing. Man, there are so many different types of tea sets out there! Gaiwans, teapots, those tiny little cups… it was a little overwhelming, to be honest. But I wanted something that looked traditional, you know? Something with that classic Chinese vibe. Then I saw some videos that have people using tea sets and brewing tea. I thought I could give it a shot.

I ended up ordering a set online. It had a teapot, four cups, a tea tray, and a bunch of other little tools. I made sure everything was packed well when it arrived and I was so excited to unpack it and see all the stuff.

First Tea Experience

My first time using it? Yeah, it was a bit of a mess, haha. I watched a few more videos on how to brew the tea. I tried to follow the instructions but I think I used too much hot water in the teapot at first. Then, I realized that I needed to use a fair cup to hold the tea so that it won’t over-brew in the teapot. I poured the tea from the teapot into the fair cup, and then into the tiny cups.

  • I put some tea leaves into the teapot.
  • Then I poured hot water on them.
  • After a few seconds, I poured the tea out into a fair cup.
  • Finally, I poured the tea from the fair cup into the tiny cups.

Getting Better

But you know what? I kept practicing. I tried different amounts of tea leaves, different water temperatures, and different brewing times. Slowly but surely, I started to get the hang of it. The tea started tasting better, and I started to appreciate the whole ritual of it all.

Now, I use my tea set almost every day. It’s become a relaxing part of my routine. I still have a lot to learn, but that’s part of the fun, right? It’s not just about the tea, it’s about the whole experience.

If you’re thinking about getting into Chinese tea, I say go for it! It’s a really rewarding experience. Just be prepared to make a few mistakes along the way, and don’t be afraid to experiment. You will get there eventually!
