Alright, let’s talk about this clipper loose leaf green tea, you know, the kind you scoop out yourself. Not them fancy bags, no sir. This here tea, it’s somethin’ special, they say.

First off, they tell ya it’s “gently steamed.” Now, I ain’t sure what all that means, but I reckon it’s like when you steam dumplings, keeps ‘em fresh and green, right? So, this tea, it’s supposed to be keepin’ that fresh green feelin’ from the leaves. Tender leaves, they say. Like young sprouts in the spring, I guess.

  • It’s supposed to be real pure, this green tea. Nothin’ added, just the leaves themselves. They call it “unique.” Well, I dunno ‘bout unique, but it tastes alright, kinda grassy, ya know?
  • And they go on and on about it bein’ “Fairtrade” and “organic.” Sounds fancy, but what it means is they ain’t cheatin’ the folks who grow it, and they ain’t usin’ no funny chemicals. That’s good, I reckon. We don’t want no funny chemicals in our tea, do we?

They get these leaves from way down south in India, mostly. Says it gives the tea a “delicate, subtle taste.” Well, I can tell ya, it ain’t like that strong black tea my old man used to drink. This here green tea, it’s lighter, smoother. You can drink a whole pot and not feel like your head’s gonna pop off.

Now, they say this tea is good for your “well-being.” That’s a fancy word for feelin’ good, I figure. They say it’s got these things called “antioxidants” in it. Sounds like somethin’ you’d put in your car, but they say it’s good for your brain and helps ya burn fat. Lord knows I could use a little help with that! And they say it just makes ya healthier overall. Well, I ain’t gettin’ any younger, so I’ll take all the help I can get.

Steepin’ this tea, that’s another thing. You don’t just dunk it and go. You gotta boil the water, then let it cool down a bit. Can’t scald them leaves, ya see. Then you pour it over the tea and let it sit for a few minutes. One to three minutes, they say. Me? I just kinda eyeball it. If it looks about right, it’s probably ready.

And here’s the kicker, you can use these same leaves over and over! They say five to ten times, dependin’ on how you make it. Even if you do it the regular way, you can still get two or three cups outta the same leaves. That’s a good deal, I reckon. Saves ya money, and who don’t like savin’ a little money?

They keep sayin’ this tea is made with “pure natural ingredients.” Well, I should hope so! It’s just tea leaves, ain’t it? But they say they use the “highest-quality sources.” Means they ain’t pickin’ no garbage leaves, I guess. They want the good stuff.

So, all in all, this clipper loose leaf green tea, it’s pretty decent. It ain’t gonna change your life or nothin’, but it’s a nice, light drink, and it might even do ya some good. And you can get a lot of cups outta one little scoop, which is always a plus in my book. So, if you’re lookin’ for a new tea to try, give this one a whirl. You might just like it.

And remember, don’t go fussin’ over it too much. It’s just tea, after all. Boil the water, pour it over, and enjoy. That’s all there is to it.
