This coffee bag, you see, it’s just like them tea bags, ain’t it? Just the same thing, ‘cept it’s coffee in there, not tea. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can see that much. This here newfangled way of makin’ coffee, well, it’s somethin’, I reckon.

Coffee Bags, Tea Bags, What’s the Difference?

Well, one’s got coffee, one’s got tea! That’s the big difference. You put that coffee bag in hot water, just like a tea bag. It’s simple, see? No fancy machine needed. Just hot water and a mug. Lord knows I ain’t got room for no more contraptions in my kitchen.

Easy Coffee, Just Like That

They say this coffee in a bag, it tastes fresh. Like they just roasted them beans. Now, I like my coffee strong enough to stand a spoon up in. So we’ll see about that. But I do like things simple. And this coffee bag, it sure seems simple.

You just pour that hot water over the bag in your mug. You gotta let it sit there for a bit, though. They say three to five minutes, can you believe it? Seems like a long time to wait for a cup of joe. But you gotta stir it now and again, give it a little squeeze. Like you’re milkin’ a cow, almost.

After you wait and wait, you give it one last stir, squeeze that coffee bag again, then you take it out. Toss it in the trash. And there you have it, your coffee is done. Just like that.

Keepin’ it Fresh

Now, where to put these coffee bags? Some folks say leave ’em out, but I don’t know about that. Seems to me they might get stale. I put mine in the icebox. Keeps ’em fresh, I think. Just like my leftovers. Less chance of them little bugs gettin’ in there, too. You can tell it’s bad when it smells off.

My grandson, he’s always on that computer, he told me all about these coffee bags. He says they’re all the rage. Says I should try ’em. Says it’s better than that instant stuff I used to drink. Well, I ain’t tried ’em yet, but I got a box right here. Maybe I’ll give ’em a go tomorrow mornin’.

These new things, they sure are somethin’. Coffee bags, tea bags, what will they think of next? But I guess if it makes a good cup of coffee, and it’s easy, well, I’m willin’ to try it. ‘Cause a good cup of coffee in the mornin’, that’s important. Gets you goin’, you know?

I remember my mama, she used to make coffee the old-fashioned way. Boil it in a pot on the stove. Took forever. And the grounds, they’d get everywhere. Messy, messy. This coffee bag, it seems a lot cleaner. No grounds to worry about.

Coffee Bags, Tea Bags, All the Same to Me

They got all kinds of these coffee bags now, too. Different flavors, different roasts, whatever that means. Just like tea. So many tea bags, so many choices! It’s a bit overwhelmin’, to be honest. I just like a good, strong cup of coffee. Don’t need all them fancy flavors.

I saw some of these on sale one time, might be “Folgers Coffee Singles”, my eyesight no good. There are others, too, I saw one called “BLK BOLD” and another called “Cobee”, I think. These bags, they come in all kinds of different boxes and things. You can even get these filter bags to make your own.

But like I said, the important thing is, does it make a good cup of coffee? That’s all that matters. And is it easy? ‘Cause I ain’t got time for complicated things. My old bones are tired, and I just want my coffee quick and easy. These coffee bags, they might just be the answer.

So, coffee bags, tea bags, they’re pretty much the same thing. Just a little bag you put in hot water. Easy peasy. And if it makes a good cup of coffee, well, then I’m all for it. I might just become a coffee bag convert yet. Who knows? This old dog might just learn a new trick after all.

You just need to make sure you get the right ones, the coffee bags, not the tea bags, and then everything should work out fine. I might give one a try tomorrow, see if it’s any good.
