Well now, let me tell ya ’bout this cold brew green tea, the young folks are all gabbing about. I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I know a thing or two ’bout makin’ a good drink, ya hear?

First off, this cold brew thing, it ain’t like the hot tea we used to make. No sir, this one takes its sweet time. You gotta be patient, like waitin’ for the crops to grow. But lemme tell ya, it’s worth the wait, just like a good harvest.

So, how d’ya make it? It ain’t rocket science, that’s for sure. You get yourself some green tea leaves – them fancy ones or the regular ones, it don’t matter much to me. Take a handful, maybe a bit more, I dunno, I just eyeball it. Folks say you need about 5 grams for a cup, but I ain’t got no fancy scales, ya know?

Then you dump them leaves into a jar or somethin’. I use an old mason jar, works just fine. Pour in some water, not that hot stuff, mind you. Just plain ol’ room temperature water, or even cold from the tap. They say filtered water is best, but our well water’s always been good enough for me.

Now comes the waitin’ part. You gotta stick that jar in the fridge, let it sit there a spell. For green tea, they say 2 to 6 hours is good. I usually just leave it overnight, seems to do the trick. It’s like lettin’ the flavors soak in, like marinating meat, but for tea, ya see?

  • The Good Stuff: This cold brew, it ain’t bitter like that hot tea can be. It’s smooth, kinda sweet, goes down easy. Perfect for a hot summer day, when you don’t want nothin’ too strong. And they say it don’t have as much of that caffeine stuff, which is good for folks who get the jitters.
  • Takes Time, But Worth It: Yeah, it takes a while, but good things always do. Like a good stew or a hand-stitched quilt. You gotta put in the time to get the best results.
  • Any Kind of Green Tea Works: Don’t get hung up on the fancy stuff. Just use what you got. Them fancy teas might taste a bit different, but the regular ones work just fine. I’ve tried it with all sorts, and it always comes out good.

Now, some folks are worried ’bout whether this cold brew is as healthy as the hot stuff. They say the hot water gets all the good stuff out of the leaves. Well, I ain’t a doctor or nothin’, but I figure if it tastes good and makes ya feel good, it can’t be all that bad. And this cold brew, it sure does taste good.

And you can make a whole bunch at once, keep it in the fridge for a few days. That way, you always got somethin’ cool and refreshin’ to drink. Saves ya from havin’ to brew tea every time ya want a glass. That’s what I call smart, ya know? Work smarter, not harder, that’s what my old man used to say.

So there ya have it, my take on this cold brew green tea. It ain’t complicated, it ain’t fancy, but it’s good. Try it out, see if ya like it. And if ya don’t, well, more for me, I reckon.

Oh, and one more thing. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Add a little lemon, some mint, maybe even a splash of honey. Make it your own, ya know? That’s the best way to do things, in my book.

Anyways, I gotta go now, got chores to do. But I hope this helped ya learn a little somethin’ ’bout cold brew green tea. It ain’t nothin’ to be scared of, just a different way of makin’ a good ol’ cup of tea.
