ginger tea
Alright, let’s gab about this cold brewed oolong tea, you know, the kind them fancy folks are drinkin’ these days. I ain’t no expert, mind you, just a plain ol’ body who likes a good cuppa.
So, what’s all the fuss about? Well, they say it’s healthier and tastes better than that hot stuff. I don’t know about all that health stuff, but I gotta say, it do taste mighty fine on a hot day.
Makin’ this here tea ain’t rocket science. You just take some of them loose tea leaves, the oolong kind they call it, and dump ’em in some cold water. Now, don’t be stingy with the leaves, toss in a good handful or two. I figure about two big spoonfuls for a big glass of water is about right.
Then, you just gotta let it sit. Yeah, that’s it. Just let it sit there in the fridge for a good long while. They say at least four hours, but I like to let it sit overnight. The longer it sits, the stronger it gets, I reckon.
Now, some folks get all fancy with their tea, but I just use regular cold water from the tap. If your water tastes bad, maybe you wanna use that bottled stuff, but mine’s just fine. And don’t go heatin’ up the water, that ain’t the point. It’s gotta be cold, see?
Once it’s done steeping, or whatever they call it, you gotta strain them leaves out. I just use a regular ol’ strainer, the kind you use for noodles. Nothin’ fancy. Pour the tea through the strainer into another jar or a pitcher, and you’re good to go.
Now, about them tea leaves. They say you can use ’em again, but I don’t know. Seems kinda weak the second time around. I just toss ’em out. But you do what you want, it’s your tea.
Some folks like to add stuff to their tea, like lemon or sugar. I ain’t one for that. I like it plain. But again, you do what you want. It’s your tea, you drink it how you like it.
They say this oolong tea is good for you. Helps you burn fat and makes your brain work better. I don’t know about all that, but I figure it can’t hurt. And like I said, it tastes mighty good on a hot day. Better than that sugary soda pop, that’s for sure.
I heard tell you can buy this oolong tea online. Lots of different kinds, they say. And they’ll even deliver it right to your door. Ain’t that somethin’? But me, I just get mine at the store. The plain kind, nothin’ fancy. That’s good enough for me.
So, there you have it. Cold brewed oolong tea, made simple. Ain’t nothin’ to it, really. Just takes a little patience. But it’s worth the wait, I tell ya. Try it yourself, see if you don’t like it. And if you don’t, well, more for me, I reckon.
And one more thing, don’t go spendin’ a fortune on fancy equipment. An old jar and a strainer are all you really need. It’s the tea that matters, not the tools. Remember that, and you’ll be makin’ good cold brewed oolong tea in no time.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about this here tea. Go on and try it, you might just like it. And if you do, well, you can thank me later. Or not. Makes no difference to me. I’m just glad to share what I know.
