fruit tea
So, I’ve been getting into this whole tea thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride. Today, I want to talk about this one called Dancong Oolong. I’d heard some buzz about it, and figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I had to get my hands on some. I went to my usual tea shop, the one with the owner who always remembers my name. After some browsing and sniffing, I found a tin labeled “Dancong Oolong”. Score! I grabbed it and rushed home, eager to get brewing.
Now, I’m no tea expert, but I’ve learned a few things along the way. The leaves were long and twisted, kind of like little twigs. They smelled super fragrant, all floral and fruity. I heated up some water, aiming for that sweet spot just below boiling.
The color that came out was this beautiful golden amber. I poured myself a cup, took a cautious sip, and wow. It was like a party in my mouth. I could taste all sorts of things – a bit of honey, some kind of flower I couldn’t name, even a hint of spice. It was smooth, not bitter at all, and left a sweet aftertaste that made me want more.
I ended up having a few more cups, just enjoying the moment. Each steep brought out something a little different in the flavor. It was a really cool experience, and I’m definitely adding Dancong Oolong to my regular tea rotation. I sat and relaxed, enjoyed my tea.
If you’re looking to try something new in the tea world, I’d say give Dancong a shot. You might just be surprised. It’s a fun one to explore, and it made for a pretty chill afternoon for me.
I am wondering what I can try next after I enjoyed it.
